Trump policies, racism may cause some black women’s weight problems, professor says | Fox News

Do President Trump’s policies make me look fat?

That’s the sort of question some black women may be asking themselves, a Rutgers University professor suggested during a recent appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Although, more accurately, the problem may be the stress and anxiety caused by the policies than the policies themselves, Brittney Cooper, who teaches gender studies at the New Jersey-based university, said on a recent episode of “Black Women OWN the Conversation.”

Research shows black women lose weight more slowly than white women, and the Trump presidency may be exacerbating the situation, Cooper said on the program, according to CampusReform.org.
Let me get this straight, Trump is making black women fat? So who made them fat before Trump? Were they fat during Obama's administration?

If everything else fails...

Trump ought to stop all these damn natural disasters like tornado's and hurricanes too. I know he's DIRECTLY responsible somehow.

1) Let me get this straight, Trump is making black women fat? 2) So who made them fat before Trump? 3) Were they fat during Obama's administration?

1) Yep, or are you trying to deny what may be solid science?

2) Nothing, they were then maybe thinner without that Trump stress.

3) Not according to science (maybe).

Is getting Trump out of office to reduce obesity among black women going to be the new DNC energize the black vote plan?

Well, I have to be honest. Trump didn't cause me to almost die from congestive heart failure in October 2015. Obama did.

Trump's causing global warming too, according to the IPCC and Greta Thundberg...

I want to see the report that documents their weight loss during Obama.

Why only an idiot would go into debt for a degree in "gender studies".

Hey! Gender studies is a growing field. Back when there were only two genders it was a waste of time but now that science has proved that there are dozens or scores of genders there's a lot more room for research grants.

The possibilities seem endless.

If he was talking about stress (in general) as a factor in weight gain, and then included Pres. Trump on a list of things black women report finding stressful, I have no issue with this.

If he made an effort to emphasize or directly link the weight gain to Pres. Trump (via stress), then unless he disclaimed that Pres. Trump's "stressfulness" doesn't void black women's responsibility to manage their own weight, he's over the line. The last thing America needs is more people blaming their problems on everyone but themselves.
