Former national security adviser John Bolton was so disturbed by the efforts to get the Ukrainians to investigate President Donald Trump’s political opponents that he called it a “drug deal,” former White House official Fiona Hill reportedly told Congress on Monday.

Hill, the former top Europe expert in Trump’s White House, testified that Bolton told her he wanted no part of the effort that involved acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, a person in the room for Hill’s testimony told NBC News. Bolton also was said to have referred to Rudy Giuliani as a "hand grenade."

Giuliani has acknowledged in recent interviews that he had asked a Ukrainian prosecutor for information about former Vice President Joe Biden.

The New York Times first reported details of Hill's testimony Monday night.

Bolton was fired by Trump in September.

Hill testified that Bolton told her to report the situation to the top lawyer at the National Security Council, John Eisenberg, according to the person in the room for Monday’s closed-door hearing.

Oh...is this the Schiffty cherry-picked quote from the Fiona Hill ELEVEN HOUR TESTIMONY? I wonder if they got this from her in the beginning of her testimony? Maybe from her written statement? Or did Schiffty make everyone wait ten or eleven hours before he would allow her to drop this unsupported gem?

We know we won't be able know what was said unless Schiffty decides it'll help his narrative and provide a sound bite to the media, so who cares?

You guys just kill me. You can spin a conspiracy about anything negative to do with Trump. You all act like Trump is some kind of pure perfect leader. You're so full of BS, Everyone can see right through it. The deposition had equal amounts of time for both the majority and the minority. I suspect the reason you are not hearing anything from the GOP is because it's so bad for Trump, they are embarrassed to say anything.

We'll all have to wait for the public hearings which are coming.

You don't know what went on in the SCIF. You don't know if there was equal time. Hell, you don't know anything about the hearing...except, of course, this one unsupported sound bite.

Trump 'university', Trump 'foundation'. Both crooked deals. Trump is a crook and has been his entire miserable, entitled life. What's changed; has he had a Damascene conversion like Paul and become an honest and morally upright citizen?

The leak was the statement from a closed hearing in a SCIF.

And the statement was from the person testifying. And there is no reason to believe that testimony is true. No supporting evidence.

And there is nothing else from eleven hours of questions and answers leaked from that SCIF.

Seriously...if that one sound bite is all that Schiffty found worth leaking out of eleven hours of testimony...yeah...who cares?

These Trump republicans have learned so well from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and now Donald Trump is their father figure.
