Texas officer who fatally shot woman in her home arrested on murder charges

I refuse to condemn the cop based upon hearsay evidence, especially without giving him the opportunity to tell his side of the story.

Hearsay? We watched him lurking around in her yard shining his flashlight in her windows. We then heard him shout his orders and fire his gun.

Good. Law enforcement officers kept the mobs from skipping a trial and hanging the officer whom they expeditiously found guilty by common mob assent.

I'm still curious why you chose to misrepresent what the caller stated in his call.

Some more details of the shooting.

Atatiana Jefferson pointed gun at window before Fort Worth officer killed her, nephew told authorities

I still find it odd that the LEO's did not go to the front door and announce themselves. Very poor procedures.

I do too. Imagine if they had pulled up with their lights on, and while using caution announced their presence. I stated early on even of the woman had been armed and pointing her weapon that was her right to do given she had no idea who was lurking outside her home.

I'm not so much on the band wagon that this was a dept failure because even with the best training, some people just aren't up to the real deal and that only becomes apparent when it's sometimes too late.

LEOs are often the mob who are somehow convinced that they are judge, jury, and executioner. Those kinds of people have no place on the police force.

There is no need to give in to dummass racist and biased narratives. This officer did not "judge, condemn and execute" this woman. He may never have even seen the woman before he saw the gun she had in her hand pointed at him. He likely fired in self defense but the case will have to be settled in court, not on TV or in mob gang gatherings on the street.

He did execute this woman because he shot though the window at the legal resident.

Why was he walking around the house peering in the windows at midnight instead of knocking on the front door like most people would have done? The police call wasn't to the emergency 911 line and they didn't report a stalker or someone lurking in the backyard. This was a simple welfare check, so what was he doing?

What we have not heard is any testimony or argument from the defense. We can all share our speculations, opinions and reasonings, but none of that means anything in the end. The cop must be tried in court before anyone can render a just verdict one way or the other. Those promoting unproven and unsettled narratives run the risk of stirring ignorant people to think evil of cops in general when that is not only wrong, but also stupid.

I have not even heard what the caller said in his call. What caller are you talking about? Are you in favor of proceeding to find the cop guilty and skipping a trial? If you are in favor of a trial, do you think the evidence and arguments presented by the defense might convince a jury to acquit? if a jury acquits are you going to support that verdict and promote that narrative as being just?

I agree it is not so much a Department failure. It was one bad LEO using poor judgement.

It does not help to pre-judge anyone, especially cops, when there are so many dummass Americans who have already been brainwashed to believe all white cops are evil and racist, which is a damnable lie.
