Texas officer who fatally shot woman in her home arrested on murder charges

I'd never call the cops for an open door at 10:00 pm but I might if there were 5 days of unopened mail and newspapers on the porch.

So if you're use to seeing the neighbors door closed at say 6pm every night and you see it open at 2:30 AM that wouldn't make you curious?

I don't get the newspaper and my mail goes through a slot in my door so just imagine how long it would take for that mail to reach a point it won't go though.

I'm kind of amazed that people don't pay closer attention to the people that live around them. But maybe I've just always been lucky to have neighbors who do look out for each other whether we're close or not.

Heres the horrendous Body Cam I was talking about earlier that shows all the many wrong steps and piss poor execution

Can anybody tell me what the partner whispers right after the 1:20 mark???

I can hear it but not make what's said, girl and bike or bite?

oh i really dont have a clue thats why i was asking, i thought i could here girl too though and boy but not much else

Stupid yes, dishonest, no. Some people simply don't give two hoots about other people.

the dishonest part is comparing it to BBQ becky they arent the same on any rational or honest level

If the neighbor gave unreasonably inaccurate information it could be a problem for him. In the Walmart case TD mentioned the caller made things out to be MUCH more threatening than they actually were.

He called a non-emergency number for a welfare check. That means that the caller just wanted to see if everything was okay.

Probably not, unless I noticed that there was a strange car in the driveway or unusual noises. I'm a night owl and if the cops called the police every time I was sitting on my patio at 2:30 am or had a light on they would need to build a satellite station across the street to save on wear and tear of the cruisers.

That police officer was not alone and it appears that his partner shared the brilliant idea (standard for a police "welfare visit"?) of parking the marked police car out of sight, not knocking on the door or announcing a police presence, sneaking around the perimeter of the house, with guns drawn (ready to defend themselves?) and shining flashlights into the windows. That this plan of action may unnecessarily alarm the occupants (at 2:30 AM) did not occur to either of them - being trained and (union?) certified professionals, of course.

The entire chain of command of this police department should have their pay docked (by at least 25%) until that surviving young child, who saw their mother killed in the house by police, graduates college. Why should those "heroes in blue" most responsible for this gross abuse of police power and lack of (common sense?) training be able to pass the cost of their stupidity on to the taxpayers?

I wonder what would have happened if the woman had shot the policeman thinking he was someone trying to break in. There is a castle law in Texas.

Agreed i live in a real community also, an old school community, most people speak and wave or at least give "the man nod" and i have to say if my neighbors directly across the street from me or to the side of me had both doors open (and that was odd) and all the lights on but no movement at 2am i would definitely be concerned to say the least and depending on which neighbor it was(old young family single etc) minimum i would keep an eye out for a couple minutes and i would check myself and or make a call also  common courtesy

now with that said, i live in suburbs start of country area, 5 mins away i could be on a farm, 30 mins away im in the heart of the city. I live in a plan but its not a sardine packed plan . . i have a tree line at the rear of my property where its straight woods, some people have multiple tree lines and house arent on top of eachother

She would have been just as guilty as the cop if it was simply reversed . .
it would have been she shot a guy through her window, outside wandering around with a flashlight

here in PA theres no separate line that i know of, you just say "this is a non emergency call"

Ive done it for down trees across roads, an a abandoned car where i walk/jog etc

Probably. Since we don't have the audio we can't know for certain.

I remember that. Didn't that happen around Dayton/Springfield?

I think it was Fairborne which is where WPAFB is located-slightly NE of Dayton proper

My sister and bro-in-law are USAF vets so I know Fairborne. My other sister went to Wright State. I'm kind of familiar with that area.

I used to have some cases at WPAFB and used to play in what was called the wright state open squash tournament. It ceased when the USSRA decided to change the game to the international standard and WS's courts were too narrow and they didn't have the funds to rebuild them. It was a nice event.

That poor young woman. After viewing the body video cam it just breaks my heart.

I just grabbed the first link that came up so hopefully it's an accurate description.

Walmart: 911 caller 'intentionally lied to police' about man with toy gun fatally shot in Ohio store | KIRO-TV

Sorry I just can't see or read another one of these things.
I personally believe every person that calls the cops and embellishes, lies, etc. Should be charged.
Families need to start suits against these folks that make these calls whether someone dies or not. Maybe that will change some of the behavior.
I know from my son in law going thru the academy they are trained at least in Texas to shoot first ask questions later. He has declined every offer of employment currently being recruited by the FBI.

We have a seperate lines, and the non emergency can take several rings where the 911 is answered much quicker.

Fry his ass

The police officer who fatally shot a Fort Worth, Texas, woman in her home while answering a call for a welfare check has been arrested on murder charges. The charge comes after the officer abruptly resigned on Monday just before he was about to be fired for allegedly violating multiple department policies, the police chief said.

Texas officer who fatally shot woman in her home arrested on murder charges - ABC News

Before subjecting the officer to a lynching by an energized black and liberal lynch mob, we should allow this officer to be tried in court with all the evidence to be shown and allow honest unbiased juries to determine the guilt or innocence. That is the way it is supposed to be done in God Bless America.

It's kind of why I didn't (or don't) know the outcomes on them. My frustration and anger makes me back away for my own sanity that people are being gunned down and the people who did it walk away.

You must be int the wrong thread because that hilarious, unhinged, triggered melt down you just posted got nothing to do with this thread
