My discomfort in the last few years, first with Russiagate and now with Ukrainegate and impeachment, stems from the belief that the people pushing hardest for Trump's early removal are more dangerous than Trump. Many Americans don't see this because they're not used to waking up in a country where you're not sure who the president will be by nightfall. They don't understand that this predicament is worse than having a bad president.

The Democrats are the greatest danger this country has ever faced.

BULLCRAP "COUP". That's not the case. We're in a FACT finding cycle, that's the real story. Maybe we'll finally find out some of the facts since Trump has stonewalled and obstructed any investigations for nearly a year.
 
That's odd...I go to bed every night worried because I know who the president will be in the morning.
Unless he dies in his sleep who would worry about waking up to a new president? Weird.

If you were on a fact fining mission, why all the secrecy, closed door sessions, and anonymous accusers.

Just exactly what is Schiff going to find that 50 forensic FBI officials, 19 super lawyers, the CIA, and 2500 witnesses couldn't find?

Imagine if a similar situation had taken place in January of 2009, involving president-elect Barack Obama. Picture a meeting between Obama and the heads of the CIA, NSA, and FBI, along with the DIA, in which the newly-elected president is presented with a report complied by, say, Judicial Watch, accusing him of links to al-Qaeda. Imagine further that they tell Obama they are presenting him with this information to make him aware of a blackmail threat, and to reassure him they won’t give news agencies a “hook” to publish the news.

Well, if Obama's campaign had secretly met with Al Qaeda leader. If Obama's NSA was fired for lying about meeting with an Al Qaeda spokesman. If Obama had secretly signed a deal to sell merchandise in Al Qaeda territory. If Obama had encouraging friendlier relations with Al Qaeda.

The comparison is absurd. It ignores all the legitamate reasons for the Russia investigation.

And the whole coup idea is also absurd because in this country we have laws. The coup only happens when people refuse to follow the law and use force. Trump is not the first president to be caught up in a scandal. If Oliver North had flipped and admitted it was Reagan who ordered him, then Reagan would have been impeached. Nixon got impeached. Was that a coup?

Any day this week the Horowitz report is going to be released. I am told it is as thick as a phonebook. I believe it is going to become quite evident that indeed there was a coup to take down Trump before he was even sworn into office.

I could be wrong now...…..but I don't think so...….it's a jungle out there.

He resigned before impeachment. If only Trump would do the same.

This a constitutional process. If Trump is impeached and if 2/3 of the Senate agree that what he did is unacceptable, he'll be removed Constitutionally.

Keep your fingers crossed, maybe Bill Barr and his 'special counsel' John Durham can come up with something, it's only been five months and nothing yet, but you never know. You should hope they come up with a poison pill to throw down the throats of Trump's enablers small enough to swallow before he's impeached in the House. Keep your fingers crossed. :peace

That's how impeachment hearings have to go with Trump because if he finds out the whistelblowers identity, he'll have him murdered just as he and Barr had Epstein murdered. Congress isn't closely guarding this witness for no reason.

Trump will never resign....Trump will never be impeached by the Senate.

Dems are just sore losers and feel justified to punish Trump with any and all accusations which are filled with lies.

I'm OK with it because it exposes the true Swamp creatures to the masses...Matt Taibbi gets it and others will too after Durham exposes the coup for the masses.

I'm not sure that you are reading this correctly. "stems from the belief" doesn't mean this is actually Taibbi's belief.

I've read Matt Taibbi many times in Rolling Stone. He is the best writer on politics in this country, hands down.

Do you realize that Taibbi has called Trump "dangerous" and "insane" on numerous occasions, too many to count? And now you are quoting him?

Yes....the remedy is vote them out of office..... or in Clinton case he was termed out.

GOP paid for that stupid impeachment...rightfully so
