Kevin McCarthy Is Donating the Cash He Took From Rudy Giuliani's Indicted Pals

One of President Trump's biggest defenders in the Ukraine affair took campaign contributions from Ukrainian-Americans working with Rudy Giuliani to dig up dirt on Joe Biden.

From now on he's Dirty Kevin.

Add Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Florida's Junior U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R) to the list of beneficiaries.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said Thursday that his political committee will return a $50,000 donation received last year from two South Florida businessmen who were arrested Wednesday and accused of funneling illicit contributions into state and federal campaigns.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman — who helped President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, look into his political opponents in Ukraine — were charged by federal prosecutors in New York with attempting to funnel foreign money into U.S. politics. The alleged scheme included straw donations in which the duo masked the source of their political contributions by sending them through a newly formed Delaware corporation.

In June of 2018, they gave the Friends of Ron DeSantis political committee $50,000 through a company called Global Energy Producers. They made the contribution one day before Trump endorsed DeSantis for Florida governor.

The indictment does not mention contributions to any Florida campaigns.

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott’s victory fund — a political committee assisting his run last year for U.S. Senate — also received a $15,000 donation last year from Fruman. A spokesman for Scott did not respond to requests for comment.

Senator Scott's campaign seems to have taken a 'lets wait and see what the press does and how the public responds' attitude before taking action or making any comments. Rick Scott, after defending serious allegations of Medicare fraud as a CEO of a chain of hospitals, put something like $100mil in 2010 of his own money into his successful bid to become Florida Governor. He won reelection in 2014. Term limits prevented him from running for a 3rd term. In 2018, he opted to run for a U.S. Senate narrowly defeating the incumbent Bill Nelson.

Giuliani's indicted pals sure seem to have a lot of Republican politicians on their payroll.

Yes, they do. I'm waiting to see how much came to Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey who is much like a Trump mini-me. Duecy will do/say anything for Trump and the Trump Party. Duecy has been covertly working hard to become Mike Pence's VP if Trump is impeached and convicted. Duecy reaped massive dark money dollars in two elections from a state population that was meh about him. Duecy would not sign a bill that would expose and end dark money. I wonder why. More to the point I wonder if people like Duecy received financial "help" from sources like Parnas and Fruman?

Wouldn't doubt that at all. These two got around.

Never heard of Duecy. Nunes, Graham, Jordan, Meadows, etc. are way ahead of him in Trump slurping.
