In a rapidly evolving story, two of Mr. Giuliani’s contacts in the Ukraine were recently arrested. It turns out he may be under investigation as well.

” Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, is facing an investigation by federal prosecutors into whether his involvement with Ukraine violated federal lobbying laws, The New York Times reported on Friday.
Citing two people familiar with the inquiry, the paper builds on CNN's previous reporting on Thursday that Giuliani's financial dealings with two associates indicted on campaign finance-related charges were under scrutiny by investigators overseeing the case. Law enforcement officials briefed on the matter told CNN that the FBI and prosecutors in Manhattan are examining Giuliani's involvement in the broader flow of money that has become the focus of alleged violations that are at the center of the charges against Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.
Both people familiar with the inquiry told the Times that the investigation into Giuliani was tied to that of Fruman and Parnas. One of the people told the Times that investigators are looking into Giuliani's attempts to subvert Marie Yovanovitch, the former American ambassador to the Ukraine.”

Fascinating. This is becoming like those mob movies where everyone around the big boss is getting arrested as investigators work their way slowly to the top. It started with Flynn, Manafort, Cohen, etc... and now working it’s way up bit by bit.

This seems to happen to just about anyone who gets near Trump: from former wives, employees, associates, business partners, personal lawyers, campaign managers, cabinet members, longtime national allies, etc,...

Why anyone thinks it’s safe to get near this guy at this point is beyond me. It’s like being next to a snake. You will get bit.

Absolutely love it, the corruption goes deep. Not only did they go for dirt on Joe, but they were doing the crimes they falsely accused him of. The audacity of these dirty old men is astonishing. On the other hand, believing they could hide it is the reason the statement, you can’t fix stupid works so well here.

Is anyone in DC politics not under some kind of investigation any more? Democrats claim no democrat deserves to be under investigation but that every powerful republican needs to be under investigation. That is the sad condition of modern politics.

It’s sort of Quinten Tarantino! Or “Goodfellas”. (I didnt’ say Martin Scorsese because not all his gangsters are screw ups, whereas the criminality in the Trump Administration is only matched by the stupidity).

I have to say, I laughed out loud when these two bag men got caught trying to blow dodge right after having lunch with Trump’s “personal attorney”! It reminds me of one of my other favorites, “Get Shorty”.

You have to ask yourself where Barr is and what he is doing. He has already declined to prosecute several referals of crimes made to him by the right. Why isnt he applying an equally rigid adherence to the law to the left?

The moral of this story seems to be, Don't be a personal lawyer for Trump.
