The privatized Capitol Barber doesn’t pay its employees quite what the unionized Senate barbershop staff makes, however, with Senate stylists pulling in between $70,000 and $80,000, not counting retirement, health insurance and vacation benefits. On the other end of the spectrum, Capitol Barber stylists make between $22,000 and $30,000.

The Senate salon, located in the basement of the Russell Senate Office Building, opened in 1859 and served only senators, for free, until the 1970s. Now it serves the public—for a price—and welcomed about 27,000 customers last year, still not enough to not require taxpayer money to keep it humming.

Yeah, it is. AOC gets driven a couple blocks to work instead of taking the Metro. She's too famous, yano, and those Trumpists are soooooooo skeery! But yeah, she needs to fire up the petrol-based vehicle to get her entitled ass a mile to and from work. Then she gets to tell everyone her new condo rental building in on of D.C.'s most desirable neighborhoods is just "basic living accommodations".
 
If we become true socialists in the USA, there will be free haircuts for everyone, since all the hair salons will be nationalized. Will they be as good as the one AOC got for $300? Probably, since the federal government will be in charge of haircut quality control.
 
Social Democrat and Democratic Socialist are not "socialist" in the sense the right wing wants you to believe.

They wouldn't know a socialist if one punched them in the face.

There is a definition of the word "socialist" and it does not resemble what leftists are now calling socialism. You KNOW very well that real socialism has been tried and failed, over and over. So now you pretend that capitalism can be socialism. Everything is socialism and socialism is everything. You have tried to erase all meaning from the word.

$300 for a hairstyle in a high end salon is nothing, especially in that area. Apparently Trump Fan Nation is used to leaving their backwater Alabama single wides for a trip to Super Cuts for a $6 snip.

I love how Trump Fan Nation is worried about AOC's hair now. This is classic!

I spent $284 with tip 2 weeks ago to get foils, lowlights, highlights, and a cut. In New Hampshire.

Yeah it is out of the ordinary for an average middle class woman and I know a bunch of them. Sort of like Clinton's shutting down the airport for a haircut while sitting on the tarmac in AirForce One.
