    Everyone I think has in their mind what the world would be like if they could make it to their liking. This is mine.

    The World I Want

    I want 7.0 A1c level in my blood (diabetics will understand this one).
    elective abortions a memory
    The Patriots receiving the Lombardi Trophy.
    The Cowboys making the playoffs.
    The 7th Fleet in the South China Sea.
    The Russians in only their country.
    A Unified Korea with its capital in Seoul.
    Bashir Assad and Kim Jong in hell.
    People in church three times a week.
    The Dierks Outlaws in War Memorial Stadium in December.
    My retirement fund bringing in 7% annual returns.
    Plenty of dried, bailed hay in the barns.
    Star Trek on network television every year.
    Star Trek on the big screen every other Christmas.
    Honor Harrington on the small screen.
    sexual deviants in the closet.
    Sci Fi Universe, International Combat Arms, Science Digest on the newsstands
    Transformers returning to sanity.
    Really cool Battletech TROs (Technical Read Outs)
    B-1B bombers hitting targets on three continents.
    Lorraine Bartlett writing some decent Booktown mysteries.
    Decent places to buy books and magazines everywhere.
    A brand new nuclear powerplant beginning operation every year in the U.S.
    U.S. astronauts on Mars.
    U.S. unmanned probes orbiting the outer planets.
    Cows grazing in the meadows on my farm
    Ships of the U.S. 5th fleet patrolling the Persian Gulf.
    A Bush in the White House
    NATO in Eastern Europe
    new Ford pickup in my driveway
    Illegal aliens staying in Mexico
    presents under the Christmas Tree
    A big fire in the fireplace in January
    Liam Neeson in a thriller
    Harrison Ford in a space opera
    white Christmas only in the movies
    Arkansas Razorbacks in a News Year’s Day Bowl
    God in heaven
    most businesses closed on Sundays
    people staying off their iPhone 90% of the time.
    a 9th major planet in the Sol system detected and imaged.
    Liberty Hill Church of Christ with 30+ people in attendance every Sunday morning
    Harmony Grove, Bissell Chapel, Pleasant Grove & Burg cemeteries well maintained
    a nice updated set of World Book Encyclopedias in my living room bookcase
    good Star Trek novels six times a year
    the Abramsverse & Discovery universes completely forgotten
    a good run of Star Trek comic books
    same with Transformers comic books
    all the issues of Hooten's Arkansas football in my possession
    55 inches of rain per year from Texas to Nebraska to Maryland.
    An effective treatment for Pancreatic cancer
