Wow! Talk about a huge sweeping generalization. And inaccurate.

About $1500 per month for a $48k initial investment is really good money. That's 25% yield on cost, without considering rent or price increases.
Umm no.. paying the bank loan is cost. reduction in principle is NOT profit. and on top of that you have maintenance costs to maintain the property.. you have the cost of advertising, you have property management fees or your time.. you have property taxes. You have insurance covering the house and grounds.

And any money that you make? You have to pay taxes on.

that is basically their entire platform.

Actually the top 1% pay almost 40% of all income taxes.
the top 10% pay at least 56% of all income taxes
and the top 50% pay 98% of all income tax in this counntry.

so what are they getting for free again?

you seem to be misinformed a great deal.
    Calling any Democrat a moron while America's official clown is in the WH", is an obvious projection. Which is understandable as it comes from the top;

"...In Paris on Thursday, Donald Trump said, “A lot of people don’t know” that “France is America’s first and oldest ally.” That may be true. But commentators noted that when Trump uses the “a lot of people don’t know” formulation, it’s usually a sign that he didn’t know himself..."

You're absolutely right about the rich paying the lions share of taxes. It's because they own the lions share of our nations wealth. I was referring to the percentages of their income.

If someone earns $100,000 a year, at a 20% tax rate, America receives $20,000.
If someone earns $40,000 a year, at a 25% tax rate, America receives $10,000.

So the rich guy pays twice, that's double the amount, as in more than the average guy. Yet the average tax payer pays more of his income than the rich guy. So America gives the rich their 'free stuff in the form of cash, while America gives the poor their 'free stuff' in the form of food stamps. Wouldn't you agree that anyone would prefer their 'free stuff', in the form of cash?

This due to the percentage they pay. See how that works now? Your confusion is understandable, many conservatives don't quite get this, or they choose to ignore it. I'm sure you agree that there's no reason why a secretary of a rich guy should be paying more of his or her income than their boss.

I won't claim you're misinformed, it's just something many folks forget to think about...

I agree. Properties that serve a utilitarian purpose should stay with families indefinitely, but real estate empires must be highly disincentivized.

Housing is for communities to live in, economies to develop, and nations to build. They are not supposed to be investment mills for the wealthiest elites to the peril of the rest of society. I like your idea of heavily taxing secondary real estate... i.e. not essential real estate. People don't need 10 houses, and if they want them then they should have a higher fiduciary responsibility to the society that they are hording property from.

It’s not a coincidence that is post #666.

Not really. if you look at most of trumps policies they are actually doing quite well. The fact that the house refuses to sign bills and send them is not his fault.
He has other things that he wants to get done but the moronic leftist are more concerned with snipe hunts.

You're absolutely right about the rich paying the lions share of taxes. It's because they own the lions share of our nations wealth. I was referring to the percentages of their income.
So now that your narrative was busted you move the goal posts. The top 1% earned about 16% of the income but paid 37% of the taxes. So again i have to say that you are misinformed.

If someone earns $100,000 a year, at a 20% tax rate, America receives $20,000.
If someone earns $40,000 a year, at a 25% tax rate, America receives $10,000.
This is very myopic and not correct at all. in fact it is so not correct that there is no way to actually argue it because it is 100% wrong.

So the rich guy pays twice, that's double the amount, as in more than the average guy. Yet the average tax payer pays more of his income than the rich guy. Since you example was so grossly out of touch and wrong your response to it is equally wrong. someone making 40k doesn't pay 25%. they pay 10% after their deductions.

This due to the percentage they pay. See how that works now? Your confusion is understandable, many conservatives don't quite get this, or they choose to ignore it. I'm sure you agree that there's no reason why a secretary of a rich guy should be paying more of his or her income than their boss.
Your percentages were completely wrong so you are the one confused not me. someone making 40k doesn't pay anywhere close to 25%. Yes you choose to ignore facts and make up false narratives that don't exist. It depends. The secretary pays the same rate on capital gains as the rich guy. You have to understand that there are different types of income.
the fact that you don't understand this nor do you understand why buffett was wrong in what he said makes this conversation impossible since you don't know what you are talking about.

I won't claim you're misinformed, it's just something many folks forget to think about...
I am not misinformed you are 100% misinformed since you think that someone that makes 100k pays 20% and someone that makes 40k pays 25%.
you don't know the difference between income and capital gains.

It isn't anything that i forgot it is something that you just have no clue about and it is obvious.
