What a flaming hypocrite! I guess he's done the brown face more than once too! Mr. Virtue signaler, himself... too funny.
Of course the finding of this photo is political but watch the left support him now, and all because he issued an apology. As if this would matter if a conservative apologized for an alleged "racist" act.

Photo Shows Justin Trudeau in Brownface at ‘Arabian Nights’ Party | Time

Justin Trudeau, Canada’s prime minister, wore brownface makeup to a party at the private school where he was teaching in the spring of 2001. TIME has obtained a photograph of the incident.

The photograph has not been previously reported. The picture was taken at an “Arabian Nights”-themed gala. It shows Trudeau, then the 29-year-old son of the late former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, wearing a turban and robes with his face, neck and hands completely darkened. The photograph appears in the 2000-2001 yearbook of West Point Grey Academy, a private day school where Trudeau was a teacher.

Earlier this month, TIME obtained a copy of the yearbook, The View, with the photograph of Trudeau in brownface from Vancouver businessman Michael Adamson, who was part of the West Point Grey Academy community. Adamson was not at the party, which was attended by school faculty, administrators and parents of students. He said that he first saw the photograph in July and felt it should be made public.

Trump MUST be impeached!!!!!

Oh wait - Trudeau?

Liberal darling Trudeau?

Never mind; fake news...

Where are the defenders? And by your logic the 'ultra-left' Time should have buried this story, much like a certain tabloid that endorses a certain president...

Now, now, try and be more tolerant...
Trudeau was just pretending to be a jack ass racist.

:2funny:

Well, **** him, then.

Trumps a racist.

Guy is a liberal. Such things don't matter. See Virginia as an example.

It was 18 years ago and clearly he has changed, it is pretty much irrelevant. Better than the Conservatives who just give non-answers when they are confronted with their much more recent pasts. Trudeau owned the mistake.

For the record, I defended Maegan Kelly and Ralph Northam. It's not politically correct but it doesn't make you a racist.

Regardless, how could they leave out Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder? I mean, that he wore black face was the point.

Holy f... I never realized it was him.

Trudeau's response was good:

Speaking to reporters Wednesday night, following TIME’s story, Trudeau apologized: “I shouldn’t have done that. I should have known better and I didn’t. I’m really sorry.” When asked if he thought the photograph was racist, he said, “Yes it was. I didn’t consider it racist at the time, but now we know better.”

Simple, clean, contrite, and expressing complete awareness of the harm and significance of what he did. He also doesn't attempt to fob it off on "the times" or the idea that everybody was doing it. He completely owned it.

Contrast that with the train wreck of a response from Ralph Northram after it came out that he wore black face:

Liberals apologize, conservatives double-down. Trudeau should have said, "I am the least racist person you will ever meet!".

Yeah, I'll make your day and give you something to get all bent out of shape about. I'll forgive Justin because, (a.) It happened 18 years ago and (b.) because he's hot and has a great ass.

Have fun with that trixare4kids.

This issue has gotten completely out of hand, and only getting worse.

Well, to be fair, Northam is a Democrat. He refused to step down, and I have a hard time imagining he'll be re-elected.

Trudeau completely nipped it in the bud. He demonstrated effortlessly how you deal with a past embarrassment like that.

Yeah, he initially apologized then tried to "unring the bell" by backtracking and denying it was him in the yearbook photo. I agree - he's done.

Thing is Cons up here would be mainly Dems in the US

This is a close election and this could/will hurt Trudeau

Just a FYI in Virginia the govenor is not allowed to serve consecutive terms. "Coonman" Northam would have to sit out a term and then try to run agian if he wanted a second term as governor.

I say give two days and the story will completely disappear, if the SNC-Lavalin ended up doing nothing this definitely won't. If Trudeau started denying things or refused to apologize then it might have but he apologized and owned the mistake, in doing so he shut it down.

Like if Scheer just said he now supports gay marriage his opposition in the past and his non-answers would not have stayed in the news for weeks.

"I'm sorry."

A sentence Trump has never, ever said.

And good riddance when he's out.

But yeah, us liberals are such hypocrites!
