People should at least issue an apology, and should sincerely regret such past behavior. It’s funny that you’re attacking him and the left for apologizing. Left wingers don’t always forgive. They destroyed Franken’s political career. People like you allow right wingers to run wild, commit corruption, grab ******s, and pander to white nationalist. You personally, Trix, you don’t set a good example for people follow. All you do is hate everything about the left. If anybody deserves to be called a hypocrite, it’s you.

The point is whenever a conservative apologizes for a faux pas of some sort, they are held to a higher standard by the illiberal thought police.

Seems to me that L. Olivier put on blackface to darken his skin to play Othello, Marlon Brando adjusted his eyes to play an Asian, Iron Eyes Cody, a Sicilian from New Orleans, played Native Americans for years, Anthony Quinn adjusted his face to play an Arab leader in Lawrence of Arabia, and I remember reading that Sammy Davis Jr. used blackface as a kid in some sort of minstrel show. Don't understand the fuss about Trudeau especially given his comments that he regretted doing it. As to the double standard, it's true that liberals may sometimes get a "hypocrisy pass" on racial issues because liberal policies are generally perceived as favorable to minorities, that's why.

Btw, a great treatment of something like this topic was an episode of the Sopranos in season 4. Conflict was between Italians and Native Americans over Columbus Day. Google, "he was gay, Gary Cooper?" to find it, or at least watch the great last scene in the car that comes up with your search. The episode could be a primer on some ethnic tensions in the US.

More than that, whenever a (white) conservative apologizes for a faux pas, they are held to an impossible standard of proving a negative; that they are not racist.

Remember Megyn Kelly? Only about a year ago, the Left crucified her for saying she used to think it was ok for a white person to dress up as a black person as long as it was part of a costume-to be in character. Oh, noooooooooooooooooooooooo, no no no! That was not OK. But Trudeau loves to dress up in costume (weird) and he's just being "method".

With no bearing on Trudeau being a racist or not (I don't know), he's signaled that more instances of him in black or brown face might surface.
What I don't get is doing it so many times that you don't recall. He's evidently dressed up in costume more than your average bear. Especially as an adult, which I personally find strange.

Lefties are loony. I would like to see Pocahontas Warren in her native Indian garb proving she is not a privileged white hoe but a poor oppressed minority woman of color like she has claimed for so many years.
