AZ Supreme Court, Gay wedding invitation decision

Do you want to have a strip search and virginity test at the front door? Jesus was adamant about opposing divorce, so what do you plan to do about that?

I'm just pointing out what the Bible says.

Thanks for admitting that they were targeted because of their religious beliefs.

Liberal tolerance my ass.

They are not being targeted for their religious beliefs in any way. They are welcome to believe whatever they want so long as they respect the civil rights of American citizens. That's how freedom of religion works. If your religion causes you to sincerely believe that everyone over the age of 50 should be euthanized, you are entitled to that belief. If someone stops you from euthanizing your 50-year-old brother, you are not being targeted because of your religious beliefs. You are being targeted because your 50-year-old brother has civil rights as an American citizen.

Our laws are not based on the Bible or any other religious book. Keep your myths to yourself at home or at church because the rights of others are not to be determined by filtering the Constitution through your religious beliefs.
Business owners can dress like the Pope, a nun, a Buddhist monk or a crucifix as long as they treat others equally when they operate a business that is open to the public.

Stop persecuting people because of their religious beliefs.

Am I expected to know the religious beliefs of every business that I frequent as well as their employees so as to not offend them because I am a godless humanist? If that is the case then they should put a permanent sign on their door informing me that they only serve like-minded Christian bigots.

Fortunately, respecting the civil rights of all Americans is a requirement to run a business in America. Americans don't need businesses that can't manage this simple requisite.
The business owners have civil rights too.

The business owners have civil rights too.

Yes they do. And other businesses have no right to refuse them service based on their religious beliefs or sexual preference either.

Stop persecuting people because of their religious beliefs.

Is expecting them to treat others as equals an example of persecuting them? Is obeying the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the gospels an example of persecuting them?

Matthew 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you: do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. ..

Luke 7:31
New International Version (NIV)

31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

That's exactly what's happening. You don't see these assholes going after Muslim owned businesses.

It looks like the activist assholes are getting what they got coming for being bigoted assholes.

That "do unto others" thing is a two-way street. If these activists would stop treating Christians like assholes, they wouldn't get treated like assholes themselves.

How exactly are Christians being treated as assholes in a business?

I'm fairly sure the "christian" teaching that homosexuality is bad stems from humans who hated gay people hundreds of years ago saying that's what this and that part of the bible meant.

Though I was raised in a christian household which generally frowned upon such things, I've come to hold the belief that if god exists, and said god actually thinks being gay is a sin, then god is wrong about that.

I don't think God is pro gay

If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act.
Leviticus 20:13

Men shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”
Leviticus 18:22

So do business owners.

When they open a business in America, they lose the right to unfairly discriminate against the patrons of that business. As well they should.

You can't lose inalienable rights.

The religious beliefs of the owners of any business don't outweigh the rights of American citizens, no matter what religion it is.

They do if they're being persecuted for those beliefs.

The SCOTUS already ruled on that. Their religious beliefs do outweigh the rights of citizens.

Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, 584 U.S. ___ (2018), was a case in the Supreme Court of the United States that dealt with whether owners of public accommodations can refuse certain services based on the First Amendment claims of free speech and free exercise of religion, and therefore be granted an exemption from laws ensuring non-discrimination in public accommodations — in particular, by refusing to provide creative services, such as making a custom wedding cake for the marriage of a gay couple, on the basis of the owner's religious beliefs.

The Bible says that marriage is between a man and a woman. Since, as far as the Bible is concerned, two men/two women can't be married in the eyes of God, then they're fornicating and fornicating is a sin.
Then either the bible is wrong about what god wants or god is wrong.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1

Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. Romans 14:13

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor. Romans 12:10

Let brother love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:1-2

Finally, all of you must live in harmony, be sympathetic, love as brothers, and be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8
