Lewandowski admitted that the president sent him with a message to Sessions that he either limit or stop the investigation or Sessions would be fired. It would seem that such a request and the actions that followed would suggest that Trump was attempting to control or even halt the investigation. Would that constitute obstruction of justice or not in your opinion?

Lewandowski repeatedly admitted he lied his butt off when he did the media circles...on FOX, on MSNBC.
His excuse: everyone else does it and its not against the law.

Of course Trump tried to use his personal attorney, someone not even working in government, to relay his absolutely stupid speech for Jeff, to Jeff, outside of official government channels. No phone, no official meeting, no government staff...Trump's personal attorney and bull-dog asked to meet in person outside of DOJ to relay his stupid speech to Jeff. The speech was a typical Trump speech, sounds like all his others, completely phony.

But of course, the speech was supposed to be that Jeff Sessions the sitting AG, would claim he is no longer recused, and would also table the Mueller investigation, but would agree to investigate any FUTURE presidents. We know Trump and his nutters are liars, that's been the case since month 3. WE know they lied about all the Russia stuff in the media, and then under oath had to tell the truth (and evidence their lies). (then cry fake news for a cherry on top).

Republican voters *support* this behavior. We have 100+ posters here who do the same.

Corey Lewandowski has always been a complete asshole and today he merely continued that person. It should have come as no surprise to anyone.

No, it would not.

Obstruction of Justice: "the crime or act of willfully interfering with the process of justice and law especially by influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness, potential witness, juror, or judicial or legal officer or by furnishing false information in or otherwise impeding an investigation or legal process"

So, did Sessions receive any notification by Trump or anyone associated with Trump? No. So, Session was never threatened, harmed. The investigation by Mueller was not impeded in any way and Mueller testified to that before Congress. So, by definition, no Obstruction of Justice. Trump may have wanted to obstruct but it never happened. Now, if Sessions were to say he did receive a letter or other communication from Trump that told him to stop the investigation then there may be a case. However, it never happened.

The Democrat Congresspersons were complete assholes today as well. Lewandowski was answering the questions the only way he could. You may not like it but he did. The only real question is did anyone get through to Sessions with a message from Trump impeding the Mueller investigation? The answer is still no.

It's interesting the Mueller Report didn't conclude anything you say. And, Lewandowski did not demand Session stop the investigation. He simply didn't want Sessions to recuse himself. The rest of your assertion is false.

I disagree. basically Lewandowski said he was ordered by Trump to shut up and not tell them anything which could hurt him. He was there to thwart justice and protect his old boss. One criminal looking out for the other.

Jerry Nadler got Corey Lewandowski to show the entire world that he's a liar and that he's proud that he's a liar. He got him to admit that he had a motive to deliver the message to Sessions because he was trying to get a job at the White House so he was doing Trump's bidding. He was caught in a lie right in front of our eyes on television.

Sessions refused to un-recuse himself and Don McGahn refused to fire Jeff Sessions. They both refused to do what Trump asked them to do. Corey Lewandowski was his faithful soldier and did what Trump told him to do. Clearly, these two instances of Jeff Sessions and Don McGahn are obstruction of justice.

And Corey Lewandowski felt that he would make a big non-statement today in front of Congress and the world and win a lot of votes in New Hampshire for his bid for Senate. What a joke. He should go crawl back into the black hole he came out of and just disappear, he's a useless tool. Trump instructed him to obstruct justice, that was made crystal clear today.

And his attitude of superiority and brash defiance of Congress is simply shameful. This is mob behavior.

Yes. It was definitive proof and if the Democrats don’t impeach immediately they are traitors to America.

But he never delivered any message to Sessions

Your post is so absurd I don't know if you're serious. Are you trolling or randomly typing nonsense, or do you think you read and understood what I wrote, with regards to the House inquiry? Nothing in your response bears any relationship to reality.
- Lewandowsky admitted what he told Mueller his true
- Lewandowsky in the hearing, claimed that while he told the news media the opposite of the truth (as confirmed by Mueller's report), he was under no legal obligation to do otherwise, and "everyone else does it".

He lied his ass off.

And the rest is a fact, that's why I can use sources, and you can't.

Nadler Statement on White House Obstruction of Dearborn, Porter & Lewandowski Testimony | Committee on the Judiciary - Democrats

Trump asked Lewandowski to have Jeff Sessions limit the Mueller investigation. As the Report states, “[o]n June 19, 2017, the President met one-on-one in the Oval Office with his former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, a trusted advisor outside the government, and dictated a message for Lewandowski to deliver to Sessions. The message said that Sessions should publicly announce that, notwithstanding his recusal from the Russia investigation, the investigation was ‘very unfair’ to the President, the President had done nothing wrong, and Sessions planned to meet with the Special Counsel and ‘let [him] move forward with investigating election meddling for future elections.’ Lewandowski said he understood what the President wanted Sessions to do.” (Report, p. 5, Vol. II)

Stop posting nonsense, we have enough of it coming from Trump's personal attorneys, one of which is already now in jail.

Then, ask Sessions. Sessions has also stated he received no threats from Trump through channels you think happened. And, Mueller agrees with me, not you. It's why he declined to suggest prosecution for obstruction of justice. There is no proof. It's over. It's done. You Democrats look like, as Lenin stated, Useful idiots. You are playing right into the Russian/Putin plan. Exactly what he wants to happen in the U.S. Hatred between Democrats and Republicans. But, then, Democrats are really Russians since they want socialism and communism.

Succeeding at obstruction is not a requirement of the statute for obstructing justice.

Why don't you know this? Fox news or trolling?

The point is the message not whether it was delivered or not. It's THE MESSAGE. It was an attempt to obstruct justice, that's clear.

I don't get it. 3 years of investigations and still no articles of impeachment. What's up with that -- Dems?

I only watched about 10 minutes of the hearing, but it was enough to determine that all of the Dem Congressmen wanted to talk about a letter that Trump dictated to Lewandowsky and asked him to deliver to Sessions and ask Sessions to read to the media. In other words, Trump wanted Sessions to make a statement and Trump wrote the statement he wanted Sessions to make.

There wasn't anything in that statement about "either limit or stop the investigation or Sessions would be fired". There wasn't anything about attempting to "control or even halt the investigation". There wasn't anything in the statement about Sessions unrecusing himself. Furthermore, Lewandowsky never delivered the letter (he went on vacation) and Sessions never made the statement to the media. In other words...it was a big nothingburger and it had nothing to do with obstruction of justice.

So tell me...did those Dems talk about another letter? Can you give me an idea about the general time frame of the hearing this occurred?

If there wasn't any other letter mentioned, then I can only conclude that you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Lewandowsky wouldn't even do Trump's bidding:

Corey Lewandowski asked Dearborn to deliver the message to Sessions limiting Mueller’s investigation. As the Report states, “mmediately following the meeting with the President, Lewandowski saw Dearborn in the anteroom outside the Oval Office and gave him a typewritten version of the message the President had dictated to be delivered to Sessions. Lewandowski told Dearborn that the notes were the message they had discussed, but Dearborn did not recall whether Lewandowski said the message was from the President. The message “definitely raised an eyebrow” for Dearborn, and he recalled not wanting to ask where it came from or think further about doing anything with it. Dearborn also said that being asked to serve as a messenger to Sessions made him uncomfortable. He recalled later telling Lewandowski that he had handled the situation, but he did not actually follow through with delivering the message to Sessions, and he did not keep a copy of the typewritten notes Lewandowski had given him.” (Report, p. 93, Vol. II)

Trump hands it off to his personal attorney, who hands it off to Dearborn, who does *nothing with it* but says it will be handled.

That's how Trump's own people handle him...ignoring his stupidity. Then they lie about it to the public, hide the trail some, and then their supporters cheer them. Typical modern Republican fare.

No, what he did was keep our of perjury traps. Dems knew going in they were going to get nothing. So, they tried hard to catch him on perjury. But, he was too smart for that. Again, ask Sessions if anyone impeded the Mueller investigation. The answer is no. Therefore, no obstruction of justice. Mueller was clear to sane people without Trump Derangement Syndrome. No collusion and no obstruction. It's over. Go home. Take a shower.

In the case of deliver this message to Sessions, he did not do what the president asked him to do.

Yes it is. Definition: : the crime or act of willfully interfering with the process of justice and law especially by influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness, potential witness, juror, or judicial or legal officer or by furnishing false information in or otherwise impeding an investigation or legal process.

There was no interference. Mueller said so. No one was harmed. No one was threatened. Sessions said so. No false information and the biggie, no impeding the investigation. You are wrong. You are all wet, dry off. Take some Prozac to calm the Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's over. Done. And, so are the Democrats in 2020.
