Now that the entire world knows that our President lies 24/7, where do we go from here?

Well, if they don't express remorse for what they've done, then they can reap the long term electoral consequences. My guess is that they'll try to cheat their way out of it. I hope that it doesn't work.

True, but it's old news. It's why his foreign policy goes nowhere. Why Iran won't talk to him and why NK plays with him while continuing to develop its nuclear arsenal. Netanyaho is talking about a mutual defense treaty with him though. If that happens, it'll be interesting to see if Trump keeps his word or shafts Bibi like he does his contractors.

He has said some cringe-worthy and deceptive things. If people would just stick to actual issues and argue from that basis, I could agree more often and even speak out more myself. But I cannot abide hypocrisy and tactics of moral panic which are the standard arguments of Trump opponents.

So, campaign promises that he has attempted to accomplish, but so far failed to do or did but not reaching expected goals...those are now counted as "lies?" :roll:

If you accept your statement as the basis for lying, then the fact is that EVERY politician or candidate for office is equally lying. They all make campaign promises that they fail to keep.

The point should be, did they TRY or not?

From what I've seen, Trump has actually TRIED to make good on his campaign promises. I'm good with that. :coffeepap:

There's no evidence whatsoever that his 'attempts' were anything other than empty electioneering promises. He clearly gave up any attempt at getting money out of Mexico after their president told him to get stuffed. His 'from day one' promise to repeal ACA was also clearly a lie. No attempt, no plan, nothing. You can 'try' pushing a 5-ton truck up a 1 in 10 hill. Doesn't make it any less futile.

Yes, they are counted as lies. Just like they were counted against other President's as lies. You know what Politifact's lie of the year was in 2013? If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan. And that was the "lie of the year" in spite of the fact that all but 5 million or so Americans actually kept their plans.

Trump went to Ohio in July 2017 and told people losing auto industry jobs not to sell their homes....the jobs are coming back. Seems to me that Trump was already President in July 2017. Then again I have often made the point that DonDon does not function as President and even when he has the job HE JUST KEEPS RUNNING FOR IT.

Dif is, his ghoulish hordes accept that and the rest of us don't.

You come up with a grand total of 98 instances that you think Obama lied as a defense of Trump?!? 98 lies over Obama’s 8 years in office equals less than 1% of the lies that Trump has told in less than 3 years. By comparison, Obama is a friggin saint!
