Trump is Close to War

You probably made excuses when Bush started the war in Iraq on the premise of safety immediately following 9/11, right behind Rumsfeld blatantly stating that they had nothing to do with 9/11, didn't you?

Lets recap.....the presumed target of this potential war is Iran, right? And we would be doing this because some oil fields in SA got bombed, right? And didn't another group of people take responsibility for that act? And wasn't that group of people from somewhere OTHER than Iran?

To answer your question, yes, it would change things. Only an idiot, however, would think that change should include either threatening or allowing SA to pressure us into a shooting conflict with Iran, who while vile on most accounts, is innocent of what is going to end up precipitating this conflict.

Speaking of psychosis......do you just assume everything the man does is the smartest and bestest thing we could be doing?

C’mon, Bullseye, you’re better at debating than this ^^ silly response. Trump said he didn’t say he would meet with Iran unconditionally, period. That is just another lie.

A few positives; Trump is naturally averse to armed conflict and his trusted SOS, Pompeo doesn’t want it either. And Bolton is out.

Trump called it fake news that he was meeting with Iran with "no preconditions." Then he announced that he would be happy to meet Iran with no preconditions.

This is why nobody cares when republicans call anything fake news.

But they did not have eyes on their airspace to have stopped the attacks in the first place. I would not be trusting a damned thing the Saudi's said at this point and nobody in the International community trusts what the US says any longer. Pompeo should have kept his BIG MOUTH SHUT and DonDon should not have pumped out more twitter blather about waiting for Saudi verification.

Saudi does not know if the strikes originated in Yemen, Iraq or Iran. The Saudis to this point appear to be clueless which combined with a look at a map tells you why there is so much conjecture about the attacks. Origin, Yemen....the least likely origin. Iraq, the most likely origin. Iran somewhere in between Yemen and Iraq as a possibility.

News flash....we don't know the origin of the attacks either. What the frig are we doing over there. We have US arms all over this proxy war in Yemen, we have aided the Saudis in this proxy war which really looks more like the Saudi's going batcrap crazy dropping bombs in Yemen and nobody has a clue where 10 separate drone attacks originated from and were unable to stop them in the first place???

We never should have been in it. Never should have been aiding Saudi in this proxy war. That horse has already left the barn. If the Saudi's were going to engage in what they call a proxy war or any war then realize you are in a war. Protect your airspace.

The fact that the Saudi's are clueless about the origins of the attacks as are we by the way speaks volumes. Nobody knows what they are doing, including us.....OBVIOUSLY!

Now if it were not for the fact that Kushner just runs around the Kingdom looking for cash for his current businesses and Trump just runs around the Kingdom looking for Hotel and other related business, we could make some sort of case that we were actually trying to do something over there.

DonDon is in way over his head and the Kingdom is hardly a different place than it was decades ago. Same place....more money in fewer hands. Draws goons like DonDon like flies to sugar. Saudi itself....struggling economically....again draws goons like flies to sugar.

I believe you are correct, most Americans would not support the US military making a first strike on Iran. The Crown Prince started this war, its his problem not the United States. I live and work in Saudi. I see lots of military toys purchased from the US sitting idle, they have the equipment, its the expertise in using the equipment they lack. As a military contractor we cannot even touch Saudi equipment with live munitions, its expressly forbidden.
