Debate: Democrat vs Republican politics and Liberal vs Conservative values - nothing off limits!

No such thing. Everyone knows the democrats are the party of racism, ergo liberals, democrats and socialists are racist.

*snicker* and just what is it that you came to "debate?"

Maybe you dont know the definition of that word?

You will have to forgive me, I'm a little slow.

Sorry, I missed this^^. Lemme go find the definition for you....

Exactly. This is what the left does not want you to hear. However, the facts remain. If Hitler was alive today and lived in the united states, he would have been a liberal democrat. Its only the natural progression of things, from liberal to progressive to socialist to fascist.

Some core tenets of fascism:

-Nationalism
-Corporate power upheld, labor rights reduced
-Putting the military on a pedestal
-Overzealous on security
-Extreme "tough on crime" stance
-Melding of religion and government

Do these things sound liberal?

Sounds just like what.Republicans believe in

Sure there is, for example Bernie Sanders is a "democratic socialist" who ran for president in 2016 from the left wing democratic platform.
Many of Bernie's personal political views are liberal or progressive in nature. No way Bernie could run as a republican. Polar opposite from a ideological perspective. Liberal and democratic schools of thought are typically not in conflict with socialistic thought, policy and theory.

In the spectrum of left right politics, the liberal and the democrat sit left of center. The ideology of socialism is also aligned with left wing viewpoints, so you can most definitely go from liberal democrat to liberal socialist, or from liberal to progressive to socialist. Or just liberal to socialist. My point is that its a natural evolution, and there are plenty of examples from Obama's cabinet that were socialists masquerading as liberal democrats.

It's not possible for a liberal to be a socialist for the same reason that it is not possible for a conservative to be a racist.

You do realize that Mussolini was a socialist before he turned fascist? That the original definition of fascist is based on the behavior and actions of his left wing socialist/fascist government? Nationalism is ideologically independent, that cant be pinned on the right.

What about Obama? Do you think he was a socialist? Or Just a "liberal democrat"?

Fascism arises specifically in opposition to socialism, yes. I'm sorry, what point did you think you were proving here?

He wasn't a socialist. Neither was Hillary Clinton. They're barely even liberal.

So the fact that Mussolini was a socialist before he became fascist just goes in one ear and out the other? The point is, socialism lays the foundation for Fascim. Same with Hitler, anther socialist turned fascist. Same side of the ideological spectrum, my friend (all left wing).

Listen, I'm aware that "Nazi" is short for (in English) the National Socialist Workers Party. But DPRK is short for Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea. They're labels to placate the ignorant. A facade.

Here's how you know Nazi Germany wasn't socialist: First, analyze the most basic definition of socialism. "The means of production are owned by the people." Next, picture the folks at a Volkswagen plant saying that they didn't want to build war machines for the Third Reich. They wanted to go back to building cars for the people. (after all, Volkswagen is German for "peoples' car")

A socialist would respond "Of course! You, the workers, own the plant and can do with it what you want."

Do you really mean to tell me that you believe Hitler would have responded this way?

Now, you call fascism "left wing." But I listed the core components of fascism. Does that sound like modern American Democrats to you?
