We'll have to see after the debates, but she was a very mixed bag. She was one of my front runners.

She did what she had to do on healthcare and became more centered, which could bring her up in the polls again. OTOH, Buttigieg carries the same kind of moderate philosophy, and isn't a flaming hypocrite on criminal justice.

It's really a two horse race between Biden and Warren, with Sanders and some other moderate hanging on for dear life.

Education should be about all kids, not just ensuring a black teacher ensures more black kids go to college.

I'm all for heavily investing in education, particularly affordable but actually good as well federally funded colleges/universities, whether they be federal or state run. There needs to be a solid baseline education available that people can afford.

But there is a huge moral hazard in a one-time payoff. It's undeniable. And it's also unfair. If all you do is pay off one set of people, you aren't paying off those before or after. You're also asking people who did pay off their debt to now pay someone else's off. And this isn't like providing food stamps. People chose to go to really expensive schools when they did not have to. It's like proposing that we pay off all the mortgages of people who bought houses in the last 10 years because, well, it turned out to be too much.

If Bernie is going to cancel student debt, why would any lending institution even think of engaging in making student loans if he were to win? Sounds like Bernie really does want higher education to be something only jocks and rich kids can get
 
Back to reparations... and there is no real way for this to end well.

It is as if modern liberalism has made this such a wedge issue, a litmus test, that it may ensure Independents change the channel. Or worse, stay home on Election Day.

I remember the first time I heard about him. I was like, whoa, a young, gay, well educated veteran with barely a record to trash? I'm a fan, but he needs to get to black Democrats and religious independents (if they exist anymore).

If anybody is going to vote Trump because of that, yet give the former a pass for trying to forge a weather map with ****ing Sharpie, then they were always going to vote Trump, and just wanted the attention of being seen as a swing voter.

I doubt much of this is losing a vote to Trump, I am far more concerned about trying to be so left that Independents stay home.
 
Any one of these candidates would be okay with me, each of them are intelligent and logical and make Trump look like as smart as a tree stump.
