McCabe will be spending his retirement money on multiple attorneys

U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu has recommended moving forward with charges against Andrew McCabe, Fox News has learned, as the Justice Department rejects a last-ditch appeal from the former top FBI official.

McCabe -- the former deputy and acting director of the FBI -- appealed the decision of the U.S. attorney for Washington all the way up to Jeffrey Rosen, the deputy attorney general, but he rejected that request, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Last month, a source close to the process told Fox News that McCabe had a “target on his back” because of the Justice Department inspector general findings.

Laptop may contain thousands of messages sent to or from Mrs. Clinton’s private server

"The surprise disclosure that agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation are taking a new look at Hillary Clinton’s email use lays bare, just days before the election, tensions inside the bureau and the Justice Department over how to investigate the Democratic presidential nominee.

Investigators found 650,000 emails on a laptop that they believe was used by former Rep. Anthony Weiner and his estranged wife Huma Abedin, a close Clinton aide, and underlying metadata suggests thousands of those messages could have been sent..."

Quite a leak he is alleged to do. Then alleged to lie about it.

First, this comes as no surprise as a partisan ruling from the Injustice Department.

Second, on its best day and in its best light the case against McCabe is extremely weak and sketchy.

Third, where was the indictment today that was suppose to come down with the grand jury returning for that supposed purpose?

In the end, as long as the defense for McCabe can get in those fifty tweets from Trump calling for the head of McCabe as political payback - he will walk away free even if it goes to trial.

I wish he'd get prison time,

I predict there may be some indictments just before the elections for some of these establishment elites that were treating the justice systems as their own personal playground. Justice served properly will restore some confidence in the long standing institutions that bedrock the country. I would advise democrats to restore these institutions themselves but they have been too complicit in attempting to destroy them.

It probably needs to happen, all we are talking about is charges and he will have his day in court.

Poisoned the well a bit, wut?

I wish he'd get prison time, but with somebody like Jessie Liu in the picture it'll more likely be some sort of plea deal.

CNN certainly hired another loser ... (grin)

I'd be OK with a plea deal to turn evidence against his bosses.

And the last of the impartial DOJ is gone and now it has been totally politicized by the Trump and the GOP. OUr country is doomed. We are no longer a democracy, we have become just another lost democracy that is now a dictatorship.

If it makes you feel any better, America was NEVER a democracy. Hope this helps.:2wave:

McCabe lied under oath. He should be treated just like anyone else who lies while under oath.

of course its Trumps Fault....:lamo

Sounds good, but very unlikely. The "evidence" against McCabe has been summarized in an OIG report more than a year and a half ago. What would take so long before you indict someone? Answer: Giving everybody else involved ample time to get their ducks in a row.

No; I'm a pessimist on that one. Having paid attention to the American political justice only since Bill Clinton, I'm prepared to be "entertained" by another dog and pony show. (sigh)

Who else but Trump is at fault in his over 50 Tweets attacking McCabe and calling for his head?

I wonder if the GOP and Trump realize that if this is an open court case a lot of their **** will come out in the open. It will not be pretty for them that is for sure.

Hey right wingers, none of you bothered to read the articles on this did you? He's not being indicted for his role in the conspiracy to get Trump, he's being indicted for leaking to a newspaper that the Clinton Foundation was under investigation. For you politically illiterate, this means he was hurting Clinton, not helping her.

What a coincidence, Vladimir Putin is on a scourge of his political enemies too. Maybe Trump and Putin did this in harmony intentionally to impress us.

Trump's tweets will be brought out calling McCabe every name in the book. McCabe was drummed out of the department even without an underlying crime just one day before his pension vesting. Trump and the DOJ couldn't get Comey, won't get McCabe and won't get HRC either. Trump is once again using the power and platform of his office to punish his political rivals. This is clearly abuse of power.

Well, is no different than for what PapaD and Flynn were prosecuted. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for McCabe.

The OP has the link to the ruling from the InJustice Department.

DOJ IG releases report that led to firing of ex-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe

"We concluded that McCabe lacked candor during an OIG interview under oath
on November 29, 2017, when he falsely told the OIG in a recorded interview that:
(a) he told Comey on October 31, 2016, that he (McCabe) had authorized the
disclosure to the WSJ and that Comey agreed it was a “good” idea; (b) he did not
deny to the INSD agents on May 9 that he had authorized the disclosure to the
WSJ; and (c) the May 9 INSD interview occurred at the end of an unrelated meeting "

Meh we knew about that stuff. I want to see the new stuff.

The IG referred him for prosecution when he released his first report and now it looks like it is going to happen. Good to see that hopefully we do not live under a two tier justice system.
