Kind of shows why this candidate is a joke.

He can say whatever he wants since he will never get elected, so big deal.

If there's a big mass shooting a day or two from the election, it will swing a lot of voters to the anti gun camp.

These mass shooters are out for fame.

Beto's message will resonate with the left leaning authoritarian fascists out there who enjoy the idea of forcing people to do whatever.

But it does not matter, he is way behind the front runners with numbers down in the low single digits of support among likely Dem voters.

All he is doing is grabbing mic time by coming up with the most absurd **** just to keep his name spoken about.

This is a hot potato, so I shall be VERY careful.

During the last administration, I remember something was proposed along these lines:

Whenever there was a housing development, the builder would be required to set aside a certain number of houses or apartments for certain ethnicities in order to have diversity.

I have not heard much about it since then.

Here in Los Angeles, some new expensive apartment developments do require a few low-rent apartments to also be made available.

I remember that one developer wanted to provide a separate entrance for the low-rent apartments, but of course (and sensibly) that idea was knocked down.

Here in California, a new law prohibits landlords from refusing to rent to Section 8 renters.

So Beto's proposal is not new.

Many sincere liberals believe that it is necessary to use vigorous methods to attain a truly diverse society in every aspect of American life.

There is now diversity in employment, entertainment, politics, and education. So the liberals logically want to now make sure that all neighborhoods are diverse.

Of course, as the current majority ethnicity continues to shrink (a development that warms the cockles of many liberals' hearts), the issue will involve making sure that all neighborhoods reflect the new population profile of the United States of America.

Beto is trash.

"I hereby order US companies to stop doing business with China" Who was it said that?

Well, it wasn't Beto "Word-Salad-No-Point" O'Rourke, that's for sure.
