I wouldn't go that far. It DID create some public safety problem, compromise the reputation of the weather agency if it went along (which its leadership did), and represent psychotic dishonesty for the most bizarre and petty of reasons, and abuse of power to try to force the agency to lie.

I thought you are supposedly retired Navy? Because I'm sure you should know weather cycles change. Would you think a ship should sit off the coast when the weather is dormant, but a prediction 3-4 days earlier had the possibility of rough waters?

He is everyone's president and, when he embarrasses himself or promotes obvious lies as facts, he deserves the negative attention. The bigger question is how the right can tolerate being associated with him.

I'd bet your comrades on up would be rehashing it if that ship sat out in the ocean needlessly for 3-4 days over false information. The weather is an important tool for sailors of all level as well as pilots. But yeah you'd be dismissing it because it came from the almighty. :doh

This isn't about that. It's about a pro-forma tweet Trump sent wishing possible victims of Dorian the well and hoping they keep safe. He happened to mention a state that, didn't get hit because the storm turned more northerly. BFD, that was eleven days ago. Give it a rest.

I've read the flippin' tweet. So did the people in Alabama who were immediately contacting the NWS with concerns on his statement. The NWS also read the flippin' tweet and quickly set the record straight. But yeah let's jump into the hole you dig deeper with every post. If he was sending well wishes then why didn't he hold up a giant WELL WISHES poster instead of that silly map? Why would there need to be an anonymous statement on the his best wishes and slapping the hand of the NWS?

What's going to be your next wild dream? The kid mowing the yard made the tweet?
