Today is September 11th. Please take a few minutes of your day, and reflect on the tragic events of the day. So many husbands and wives, people's parents, or their children died on that this day 18 years ago. So many police and firemen died doing their duty to try to help rescue people. That event significantly changed the politics of the world, and not for the better either.

Amen.

On a side note, CNN and MSNBC chose to vilify the POTUS rather than remembrance.

I am doing my best to focus on the moments the networks cover the various events focused on remembering 9-11, despite everyone's best efforts to make a swipe at someone for something during the coverage.

It is not easy across all the networks... sad.

This is how a president talks about 9/11:

This is not:

And the first idiot chose to lie about Muslims cheering and to talk about how tall his tower was. Let's not forget that part while we're remembering.

Bush II should be tried and executed for crimes against humanity.

Trump should not.

As a strict constitutionalist, and understanding that death is part of life, I would rather mourn the death of numerous constitutional principles that resulted from the Bright & Shining Lie told that day and every day since.

A day of rememberance for sure. So glad I am no longer on FB; I can't stomach the "I miss 9/12/01 when we were all unified" memes. This is a terrible, pathetic, worthless position.

I do not miss 9/12.

I miss 9/10/2001.

On a side note, you're lying about MSNBC. I watched Morning Joe. They talked about Bolton - after they talked about 9/11, which was the opening of their show. They had a lot of guests talking about 9/11. They had a moment of silence at 8:46 am. Keep your crush on POTUS in check. It makes you lie.

And the NYT tried to tell us that it all was some planes' fault ... until they were "forced" to correct the BS.

“Airplanes took aim”

“2000 people”

Imagine what it takes, as a newsroom with a huge editorial process, to get 9/11 so offensively incorrect.
Scumbags.

And by the way, no matter what Trump claims, he was never at ground zero on 9/11. I can prove this with a video of Trump two days after 9/11 with a German reporter giving an interview about 20 blocks north of Fulton St. The debris field was absolutely massive, covering the streets for many blocks with dust and material from the buildings.

He also said this: "Well I have a lot of men down here, right now. We have over 100 and we have about 125 coming. So we’ll have a couple of hundred people down here. And they are very brave and what they’re doing is amazing. And we’ll be involved in some form in helping to reconstruct." That's also a lie, Trump never had anyone from his organization much less 100 people "helping to reconstruct". NOBODY was allowed in that area, only emergency fire and police and accredited emergency personnel from the tri-state area.

No matter what the situation, even the most devastating attack on the US in history will stop Trump from trying to grab the spotlight.

Also about CNN.

If any evidence was needed of Trump's desperation for attention, there you have it. How low do you have to go to lie like that; attempting to profit from an appalling tragedy for the sake of self-aggrandising? And of course whatever is built has to be "very big and very majestic". What a dolt.

Which of those "news" organizations are you affiliated with? I rest my case.

The president who tried to bring the Taliban who hosted the people who did 9/11 to Camp David, in his attempt to get some cheap 'peacemaker' PR and try for a Nobel Prize, and ended ten months of diplomacy in his clumsy handling of it? Thank goodness we don't have a big foreign policy crisis while he'd be in charge. Other than things like his buddy in Suadi Arabia murdering an American resident journalist.

A lot of innocent people were killed that day. We should remember them, and look for how to prevent future tragedies - with security, but not only with security, but solving causes. We should also pay more attention to the tragedies that happen outside the US to others, not only the one that hit our country.

The bravery of the first responders trying to save lives words can't thank enough. We owe them more in care for their injuries. And the answer is not, 'hate or ban Muslims'. They're the primary victims of Islamic terrorism. If we want to stop terror now - Congress passed a bill against the Yemen slaughter that was vetoed to make the murderer in charge of Saudi Arabia happy, to get his money personally.

I watched it to. they had a slant on every segment about Trump. As usual.
