This Thursday, on ABC, will be the third Democrat presidential debate. Ten candidates will square off in a three-hour debate.

Who do you think will win the debate?

Who do you think will lose the debate, as in, lose ground?

Who do you think might sneak up into the Biden vs. Warren vs. Sanders competition?

Here are the polling results for the month of August. Keep in mind I am only using the Democrat-approved national polls:

1. Joe Biden - 29%
2. Elizabeth Warren - 17%
3. Bernie Sanders - 14%
4. Kamala Harris - 7%
5. Pete Buttigieg - 5%
6. Andrew Yang - 3%
7. Cory Booker & Beto O'Rourke - 2%
9. Julian Casto, Tulsi Gabbard & Amy Klobuchar -1%

I doubt anything will change, unless Joe has a major senior moment.

A lot of the focus will be on Warren-Biden-Sanders, who will all be on the same stage for the first time in these debates.

About time. Bernie and Elizabeth will probably tag team Biden and really damage him. I'd just like Bernie to pull ahead. Warren is the one seeming to try to have it both ways, trying to appeal to both progressives and the right side of the party. Bernie has 'never run a negative ad', and I'm not sure how well he'll do at campaigning against Elizabeth. He offered to not even run in 2016 if she ran...

Warren will continue her ascent, so I suppose that'll count as a "win," regardless of whether the debate has anything to do with it.

Tulsi Gabbard seems to have the best chance at swaying voters, because she isn't such a radical leftist.

Grampa Joe - Scatterbrained old coot who can't keep a thought in his head.
Pocahontas - Political whore who'll sell her grandchildren or make up any story for a vote.
Sanders - Old socialist coot who yells at the sky.

Whats to talk about. The moderators will thow them softball questions to hit out of the park with democrat talking points and the media will gush about how wonderfull all of them are the next day. Just like every other debate any democrat is involved in. I dont know why they bother to call them debates instead of what they really are; PEP RALLIES . Where they vote for their homecoming king/queen.

So Warren fails the progressive purity test?

Just nominate someone who can win.

I didn't say that. I'm not sure. There are some red flags in how she's trying to appeal to the party leadership and say she's not a Democratic Socialist. She's been my second choice but I'm getting a little more wary. She's still top 3 at this time.

Warren was once a conservative. Maybe she can remember those days.

I think it is a three person race and the winner will probably pick one of the other two as VP. That's where my dollar is going.

all these candidates soon be forgotten into the "what the hell were we thinking" :doh

Tulsi should go on Fox and give a running commentary with hard criticisms of where the Dems are making HUGE mistakes.

When the Dems lose, they will have to blame something or someone. So who better than Joe to be a scapegoat. It mystifies me how Biden still polls so high, but he will be Spartacus.

Joe Biden just has to keep appearing genial. Warren will always do well on policy questions and is most likely to continue gaining ground. Bernie will do well on policy questions too, but I'm not sure he'll be able to shake the angry old guy image (which is super unfair when you consider that his age makes him no worse than Biden and Trump), Harris has shown herself to be poor on policy and I'm not sure what she can do to catch up on that front. Pete Buttigieg will once again be the smartest guy in the room and there's room for him to grow. I can't see Yang making progress. Booker is fine but can't seem to control the stage and I'm not sure he can. O'Rourke went AWOL after 2018 and ceded the national focus to others, probably forever. Castro is fine but doesn't seem to have "it." Gabbard can go play in traffic. Klobuchar is...fine.

And there you have it.

So Warren fails the progressive purity test?

Warren is courting insiders and courting HRC; do you seriously think progs will want her? I myself don't.

Why go for the generic when you can get the original, Bernie Sanders?

My hope is Sanders destroys them all and lays complete waste to them like he did in the last round of debates. He has to take on Warren now. Her courting insiders and working with HRC is unacceptable.

Maybe. I highly doubt Warren or Sanders would pick Biden as VP and have even less faith he would accept. Biden is a tragedy; it's actually hard to watch him debate. It's like a plane crash into an ocean of rubber balls surrounded by an army of midget clowns.

Elizabeth Warren is Harvard. Therefore, she will be the Democratic Party's nominee. Everything until then is the corporate-MSM pretending there is a contest to keep viewers. But in real terms, the Democratic primary has already been decided in favor of Elizabeth Warren.

Harris isn't Harvard and she's not all that smart, plus East Coast liberals still control the party over West Coast Progressives. Biden's ship sailed in 2016 and he wasn't on it. The clock ran out on him plus, like Bernie Sanders, he's an old white guy. That alone disqualifies him.

Notice how now all 3 top Democrats are all East Coast Democrats. Elizabeth Warren will be the Democratic Party's nominee.

You do not speak for the whole Democratic base. Stop pretending that you do.

Warren was working with HRC on who knows what.

She either does or she doesn't, in the eyes of the BernieBros. To them, a candidate is either completely perfect or absolutely horrible. No nuance, no wiggle room, no imperfections.

Reasonable people will note a marked subjectivity in the construction of these purity tests. For example, a candidate could vote against the Brady Bill five times and vote for the military-industrial complex's F-35 boondoggle, and still pass the purity test.

Oh, brother, drop the 'berniebros' crap.

I hate to say it, but your post reeks of 'Bernie derangement syndrome'. It's so bad, you need an honesty test - how about telling the fuller story of the F-35 vote?
