Once again the revolving door around Trump continues. John Bolton was fired today.

Didn't Trump once say he would bring the best of the best to help him with running the country?

The amount of people that have come in and then out suggests that either the best don't want to help Trump run the country or that those chosen are nowhere near the best.

Or could it be that anyone that is better than Trump has no chance to stay more than a small stint of time? If that is the case, then at no time will anyone that is any good be hired by Trump to help him run the country given that Trump is the most incompetent and un-knowledgeable person ever to hold the position.

Trump says he fired national security advisor John Bolton

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he had fired national security advisor John Bolton, saying he had “disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions.”

Oh the horrors!
Trump fires a known warmonger.

But Trump only hires the bestest of people. So why fire the BEST person that Trump hired? Oh yeah because we know Trump is completely full of **** like his supporters and lies constantly.

Same boring attack.

John Bolton is gone and that is a great thing.

Good news; it was Bolton who got us into the futile Iraq war. He can now go retire, far away from sane people who prefer peace over war.

Yes I agree that Trump's lies have become boring and expected. It makes Trump supporters work harder knowing they support a liar.

I agree with you fully. Bolton should never have been hired in the first place. Talk about the worst of the worst!

But then, the question that needs to be asked is "Why did he originally hire a known warmonger in the first place"? Why did he hire Pruitt, Price, Lynch, Manafort, etc, etc, etc.? Is this administration a "hit or miss" administration. Learn on the job, per say?

This is the man that promised he would "hire" the best of the best and it seems that he has no idea of who is even good. One more proof of incompetence!

I wonder if Bolton will be replaced, or if we'll have another "acting" as National Security Advisor. Since Trump demands obedience, loyalty, devotion and flattery, I suspect that the number competent people willing to work for him is dwindling.

You're sure getting a lot of mileage out of this particular Trumpism. Funny.

Trump promised to hire the best and when some go off in their own direction, like hawkish Bolton obviously tried to do, Trump reigns them in and then they're gone.

Then they AREN'T the BEST people as Trump claims to ONLY hire. Your Trump Defense Syndrome (TDS) sure is kicking in today. Good little Trump supporter, maybe Trump will give you a treat. :lamo

OK, but why did Trump hire a known warmonger?

My understanding from what I've read is that he liked to weigh Bolton's opinions against his own.

Pompeo is default acting NSA. So it's currently an "acting" position.

See post #14.

“Bolton has a long track record of being an offensive realist, and the president knew that when he hired him,” the Heritage Foundation's James Carafano told Power Up. “I don't think that's something that the president was not prepared for. And asking for all options on the table and getting all opinions? I think that's just being prudent.”

Trump seeks out different views: “I always remind people: two of the president's favorite senators are Lindsey Graham and Rand Paul. They are polar opposites,” Carafano added.

Bolton's brand has benefits: “I think the president knew who he was hiring and he loves the fact that he’s John Bolton,” Mark Dubowitz, the head of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, told Power Up.

“He's somebody straight from central casting and every time the Iranians and North Koreans talk about the fact that they refuse to speak to Bolton” allows Trump “additional diplomatic space.”

“He's the necessary bad cop,” Dubowitz added.

Trump's in the big leagues now. You don't get do-overs or nice-try points in the bigs. When he screws up he gets called on it.

No matter what Trump does, some will never be happy.

This is one move Trump critics, the perpetually aggrieved, should be applauding but their politics precludes them from putting our country before their politics.

We all make choices.

The problem is every single person he's picked has gone off in their own direction. None of his original picks remain. Some cabinet positions he's on his third or fourth pick.

At what point do we accept that he's not good at picking.

Maybe when he hires one of the Fox and Friends?
