Anyone else think both Trump and Biden are just too old to be running?

I don't think we should have an age limit except for a minimum of 21. I think the this country would be much better off in the long run if we had younger people running it. I think younger people are more willing to embrace long term goals and the future while most older people are more concerned the here and the past.

I am starting to seriously wonder if Biden is too old. Last time he ran he got a couple of brain aneurysms and almost died. I'm talking "reading him the last rites" almost. Now he's popped a blood vessel in his eye. He's probably taking blood thinners to prevent stroke, or he's pushing himself too hard, or both.

Don Trump OTOH seems to be handling his age well. He's overweight but still able to function as well as ever (which is admittedly a low bar).

I wonder how the age limit question would be received if Hillary were president today and a GOP challenger with a history of health issue popped a blood vessel in his eye. Somehow I think the left would be contemptuous and call it a shameless attempt to achieve with an arbitrary age limit what they could not at the ballot box.

We've backslid on age expectancy, yes, but hopefully we'll start adopting public policy which will again let us move in the right direction. We shouldn't adopt any Constitutional amendments which will become obsolete when we finally start honoring our social compact.

I don't know what liberals want I only know what I want which is everyone to have a chance. I want rural and urban communities to have clean drinking water. I want the gap between middle class and the rich to stop getting bigger. I want the gap between the poor and middle class to stop growing.
Middle class wealth has been shrinking for years. Maybe just maybe if their healthcare cost less, and their student loan payments could be reduced they could move a notch up and yes the poor would move a notch up.
Why is it a rising tide lifts all boats when we talk about giving the rich breaks but that same sentiment is not available for the middle class?
If we do nothing the system you say the liberals want is exactly what you'll get.

I don't believe age is a major issue as long as we have a competent VP. What advantage is good health if you lack the mental capacity to handle the position? We would be much better off taking the risk that Biden could drop dead any day, knowing he's able to handle the responsibilities of the office responsibly. There's no advantage in being lead by a healthy pathological liar...

Okay so since Reagan the government has been in democratic hands and it's all their policies that have hurt the middle class.

Early on I said if that is your belief then that is your belief. I don't believe that. I'm a live and let live type of person. I'll just leave the conversation there.

Biden's relationship with the truth isn't rock solid either.

But TDS notwithstandng, wouldn't it be better to nominate a young healthy Dem to face off against the old liar? Maybe Buttigieg or Harris? But they have almost no traction in the polls.

Yes. If I had my preference, in a perfect world, I'd choose Buttigieg. And yes, no one but Biden has any traction, so he looks like the best choice as of now. It's still very early, but I'll be supporting and I pray Democrats vote for whoever is polling the best against Don just prior the election.

Young and healthy is nice, but winning is better...

If Biden does have health problems and can't hold it together until the end of the non-stop 20 month marathon that is a modern presidential campaign, then you might not get young, healthy or winning.

Or maybe Biden will be fine. It's a tough choice either way. I don't envy the left here.

We are on no specific expiration dates.

Biden, Mueller and Obama are wearing adult diapers and forgetting their own names.

While Trump is sharper than your average 40 year old.
