For all those that think Trump doesn't make a salary

We all know for a fact... that he is donating his entire salary as president. Which equals $400,000 a year!!
So 4x$400,000 = Total of 1.6 million!! Very generous :2razz:

I agree and I will be the first to say he's doing nothing illegal, it's brilliant. Just don't brag about donating your salary when you're making money off the taxpayers on the backside.

First, do you understand what a "salary" is? If you do, then you understand Trump donates his SALARY.
Second, if Pence et. al. stayed at Trump's property for FREE, then you'd be screeching about "cronyism" and doing favors.

Let us know when Trump adds a few zeroes and a comma or two to his personal Presidency wealth, like the Clintons and Obamas.

The "but Clinton" and "But Obama" argument makes an appearance. Remember when Trump told us all he would be better than Clinton and Obama and every one of us bought it?

Wow, you're not able to support your rhetoric.

So, you're saying Trump does not make money at Mar-a-Lago or his other properties? They are what, charities? Non-profit? You're saying the government doesn't pay Trump properties as they would any other properties?

Still doesn't change the unfounded rhetoric and btw, go buy an Obama book. They just bought a $15 million, ocean-front mansion that they've got to pay for!

How many books were purchased with taxpayer money?

Obama probably has received a seven-figure advance on his memoirs.

Anyway, nice try on the whataboutism.

Take a closer look at Trump's tax reform, he took care of himself and his cronies as well didn't he?

He also took care of everyone else who pays taxes.

In terms of bucks in my pockets compared with his, he came out much better off. Again, not the point.

You mean you think Democrats didn't enjoy the same? Are you kidding?
I wonder...do you think all wealthy and all corporation owners are Republicans?

I don't know what the politics are of the people he spoke to. I do know they are all rich, and according to Trump, they are richer because of Trump.

Trump enriches himself at the taxpayers' expense and you are cool with that.

SW, meet Mycroft. You will be hard-pressed to find a bigger water-carrier for Trump.

When Trump said he could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot someone, and not lose his supporters, he was talking about Mycroft.

That is the case for most elected officials - so don't expect them to change that perk of incumbency.

Or even excumbacy. Saw yesterday Obama is the most expensive ex president ever. Far exceeding Bush and Carter or Clinton.

In terms of bucks in my pockets compared with his, he came out much better off. Again, not the point.

You're right. Tax reform is not the point.

More like an attempt to point out the president is in breach of the emoluments clause. He is.

If you think so, charge him. Take him to court. Make your case. See what happens.

In the meantime, you can cry.

Common sense :doh

Indeed, the only thing that Mycroft cares about is that the "Libtards are being trolled. The fact that the presidency is nothing but a tool for Trump to make money for his brand is insignificant.

...Marc Short, Pence's chief of staff, told reporters aboard Air Force Two on Tuesday that the decision to stay at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg was made at Trump's "suggestion" and that Pence and his entourage will not be staying for free.
...

He won't let his VP stay at his hotel for free!?! What a cheap mofo...

What have we not seen? Your baseless rhetoric?

Please explain what is baseless about my "rhetoric" and I'll be happy to respond. FYI, it's not "rhetoric" when it's public record, not sure why trumpeteers have such a hard time admitting that but oh well.

Baseless would pretty much cover all of it. Start from the top and lay something--anything--out in some logical order.

Common sense that svdate doesn't know how to use a calculator.

So, what is the correct answer? How many years worth of presidential salary has Trump spent on golf? You certainly can use a calculator.

I am going with less than one. There are a lot of green fees in $400K.

If you try to pump up the price with security costs, then you are cheating. He gets secret service protection regardless. Transportation as well.

$1.6M for $100M. Yep very generous. With 20 more months to add to it.

Through May 2019, Donald Trump's golf rounds have cost an estimated $100 million to taxpayers.

How much does each of Donald Trump's golf rounds cost taxpayers?

In all eight years of President Barack Obama’s presidency, his travel, both personal and professional, amounted to a total of $97 million, according to Judicial Watch.

Donald Trump’s Lifestyle Could Cost Taxpayers Nearly $1 Billion | Vanity Fair

Trump/the Trumps will never see the exponential delta still being realized by the Clintons and Obamas. Trump amassed wealth despite being President. Most other politicians amass wealthy BECAUSE they become politicians.

Yeah, just look at 'Moscow' Mitch McConnell or Rick "Adios MOFO" Perry.

The tweets don't have dates, so I'm not sure what figures svdate is using. golfnewsnet estimates it's cost taxpayers $100M, that's 250 years.

Got that already.

The $100 Million is bogus. Facts don't matter for this sort of attack piece.

Also, 68 more months.

Ah, but it IS the point. We are ALL better off because of the tax bill.
