Well business as usual in democrat run Chicago. Twenty nine shot and 6 dead over the last weekend. I haven't seen one word of this in the MSM.

Any democrats care to explain.

Are you blaming Democratic leadership for a high murder rate? What about a low one? Do you know which state has the lowest homicide rate in the country? Do you know the state with the highest?

What kind of response are you expecting? Deaths related to crime in the inner city rarely make the headlines; it's when they happen in places where it is not expected that it gets major attention. I remember when crack cocaine wasn't reported as being a problem until suburban kids got hooked; up until that point it didn't get much attention either. There's a process of desensitization to certain issues where we get used to certain information so it's no longer "news worthy"; I expect mass shootings to eventually get there if their occurrence continues to rise.

First tell us why you think the MSM should cover this out of thousands?
 
Millions of people devote their lives to reducing gang violence. There are documentaries, mini series, news specials, nightly reports and national coverage of the issue.

Pretending there is no concern for gang violence is a racist validating narrative.

Further, pretending gang war is violence perpetuated upon an innocent population is a racist validating narrative.

That's two strikes.

Irrelevant. The point here is simply that gun death rates are higher in the conservative south. A large number of people may get shot in Chicago, but since their population is enormous it actually ends up being a lower rate.

The link I posted also has stats for Murder rates. Illinois is 11th with Lousiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi all having higher murder rates.

What is the argument here? That mass shootings aren’t a problem or are less of a problem because other people were shot and killed or injured in Chicago?

And how many of those guns were legally purchased? How many were purchased after a background check?
When will Republicans begin to see that the oversupply of weaponry is the biggest problem in America's gun culture?
