Nasty man says what?

So if Japan offered to buy Tennessee you would actually be "insulted"?

When did American's become such ninnies that something this minor becomes repulsive, offensive and insulting?

Hell, countries buy pieces of the USA all the time. Most major building in NYC are foreign owned. More of Hawaii is owned by Chinese and Japanese than Americans. Foreign countries literally have bought American toll roads. There is NO law prohibiting selling any part of the land of the USA to foreign owners or countries. There should be, but there isn't.

Chinese Middle Class people are buying up US real estate. 28% of US debt is to China. China wanted to run an airport in Greenland, not buy the sovereign nation.

They want to do a hell of a lot more than "run an airport"

You lack a newspaper subscription? I'm not spending my time supplying you with information that you just reject, refute or ignore.

Read some of European sources for a good idea of what just happened, or spend your time mindlessly defending Trump. Your call....I'm on to more important interactions.

#354 I supplied one for a person that asked... you won't. Because you know I will defeat your lie.

Some of these ninnies think buying and selling land is not modern or progressive and that Trump is the only person doing this so he is therefore an idiot.

Greenland is property...

That is kinda a stupid way to look at it...

You have the pulse of the people, eh? Another stupid post...

The issue here is the buying and selling of sovereignty, not real estate.

Trump postpones Denmark trip over Greenland sale - CNNPolitics

I usually don't do other peoples homework, but I did find this.
Trump Skips Visit To Denmark, Calls Danish Leader 'Nasty' For Greenland Sale Rebuff : NPR
Morten Ostergaard, the leader of Denmark's Social Liberal party, said Trump's move "shows why, more than ever, we should consider the EU countries as our closest allies." He added, "The man is incalculable."

I think it's probable that Ostergaard meant unpredictable, when he said incalculable. Either way, it's not particularly insulting. If he meant unpredictable it's true.

It is NOT a sovereign nation... this is about the 10th time I said it so eventually you might begin to understand it...

What you don't understand is that the whole point of this argument is that in this era sovereignty is not bought and sold as it was in the past. I don't care about foreign ownership of real estate. Trump wanted to buy sovereignty over Greenland. Meaning Greenland would be subject to US laws, not Danish law as it is now. That's what the Danes and the Greenlanders refused to sell. Do you understand now or should I use smaller words?

*sigh*

"The irony of this vile petty man referring to anyone or anything else as nasty."

That's what I wrote. And it applies. I am not deflecting. Trump is the blackest of pots and he should never say a single bad word about any kettle. Much less kettles who are quite understandably yet with considerable restraint going on the record to object to Trump's absurdity when it involves something they have a responsibility for.

The Danish PM did nothing wrong. Said nothing "nasty". But here you are deflecting for all you're worth, as you consistently do for the orange stain.

Why is it not bought and sold as it was in the past?

There are also some signs that the concept of sovereign land purchases may be making a comeback. As Blocher notes, some commentators have half-seriously suggested Greece sell off some its islands to settle its debts. Paul Romer’s charter cities concept involves a Hong Kong-esque lease of territory for commercial development purchases — creating a little piece of Canada in Honduras for example. Low-lying island nations like Maldives and Kiribati have openly discussed the possibility of buying land in other countries as their territory is threatened by sea-level rise.

Why don’t countries buy territory like they used to? – Foreign Policy

Your opinion is getting boring. Something substantial is needed or you lose the debate as this is not an opinionated/subjective thing we are debated. I have repeatedly posted facts. You have offered, I am pretty sure, nothing but your opinion.

You hate Trump more than you realize... it blinds you. Seriously.

You love Trump more than you realize... it blinds you. Seriously.

You're inadequate as an adversary. I've lost interest. Bye

That is just the thing... I don't. I don't even like him a little bit. I am objective.

It would be great if others whining here could do the same.

You're inadequate as an adversary.

Your posts are riddled with stupidity and conjecture.

A declarative statement like you have just uttered only makes you look uneducated and foolish.
