The citizens of Greenland told Trump that they were not for sale last Friday yet he still pressed the Danish Prime Minister about it today and she was rightly outraged by his gall. That is how it went. Trump call women "nasty" all the time. It's his thing.

And it's insulting because it implies that they're for sale to the United States for the asking. They're not, and if we were serious about buying Greenland it's sure as hell NOT the way to go about it via Tweet or public musings about how nice it would be to own that land and rule over them.

You do realize that he canceled the trip to retaliate towards Denmark, because they said no? He kept pushing and pushing, got another no, told he was absurd, and threw a bigger fit.

Exactly. He sends out test balloons. He gets people arguing in the media about whether he's serious or not, with people defending him by saying it was just an offhand comment while others say that he's asked about it many times.

So naturally the PM gets asked about the rumors, and she says she hopes they're just rumors because of course it's not going to happen.


And Trump gets pissed because instead of respectfully setting up the dialogue with the people who would need to be consulted about it, he set up the SNAFU which the PM then had to reply to and he doesn't like her accurate and responsible response to the situation.

What was "nasty" or inappropriate about publicly declaring Greenland not for sale and the idea that it was for sale 'absurd' when it is? And if we were serious about it, the idea that we'd publicly float the proposal is absolutely absurd and insane and insulting to Greenland.

You have to be trolling now because there are lots of reasons to cancel a foreign trip, and the problem isn't that Trump "cancelled a foreign trip" which is common, but that he cancelled BECAUSE Trump the man child was butt hurt over Greenland calling the idea they're for sale "absurd" when it is in fact absurd.

So it's not hypocritical to approve or or not condemn a cancellation for one reason, and condemn cancelling a trip for other, stupid as hell, reasons.

If you're not trolling, you need to brush up on what the word "hypocrisy" and its variants actually mean because you're badly mangling the usage in every post.

One would think that that any President who stands on the world stage in Helsinki, and declares he trusts the word of a former KGB agent over the FBI,CIA, DHS, and all of the rest of our intel agencies, as well as proclaiming he 'is in love' with the most brutal Communist dictator on the planet would at least raise an eyebrow from even his most devoted and ardent supporters.....Yet, nothing but crickets, and more words of support. Scary times indeed.
