Nasty man says what?

He sure is one crazy narcissistic scumbag. How about what he said about Jews voting democratic. Apparently Israel is now part of the USA and the orange don is god or something like that. I would vote for a kosher ham sandwich over that asshole.

Look at his attacks on the squad... go back from where you're from. He was a birther.

It's obvious Trump questions every single minority's loyalty and allegiance to America.

If you're black like Obama, Jewish, Muslim, brown, or non white, your loyalty to America is questioned by Trump.

....

Trump wins. Because at the end of the day.. people will vote what makes sense for their pocketbook and their personal lives.

If they vote for what makes sense for their pocketbook, then Trump loses the midwest votes which gave him his flukish electoral college win. Farmers, for example, are torn. The majority of midwestern farmers continue to try to show support for Trump's trade wars -- they bravely say they think Trump is trying to do what's best -- but the majority also say Trump's trade wars are hurting them.

So if they vote what makes sense for their pocketbook, then Trump loses. They won't necessarily cross over and vote for the Democrat but there should be great attrition from Trump's original set of farm voters.

I agree that Trump has had ridiculous moments, but this was not one of them today.
Trump's idea to buy Greenland is far from absurd.
Shows how "ridiculous" and ignorant the PM is when it comes to the history of our country. It's not like Greenland is the first country we have had interest in purchasing or have purchased or will purchase in the future.

It's not for sell. Trying to push a foreign country into selling a territory is what's absurd about this.

Trump hasn’t gone a single day in office (probably in life too) without a “ridiculous” moment.

Hey, don't exaggerate! In February of 2017, he went almost four days. Later in 2017, he had a couple of other two-day streaks. And he's had a couple of nearly-two-day streaks since then. Give him credit!

Your dealing with a man who won't use a computer, doesn't email, won't allow recordings (if he knows) and writes things down, but destroys the paper by burning it before leaving the meeting.

Mobsters do things like that and mobsters are hard to catch.

You're right, of course.

It's not for sell. Trying to push a foreign country into selling a territory is what's absurd about this.

I'm sure Donnie wouldn't hesitate to try to sell California, Puerto Rico, and a slew of blue states to the highest bidder.

Yes, you did lie by expounding on the FAKE CNN headline. I'm not making it personal, I am simply rebutting the dishonesty shown in the O/P.
I don't lie about anyone. Don't need to when telling the truth is so much easier. I am telling the truth about your thread premise; it's completely dishonest, and sadly, if that is the way you choose to present yourself, it's not my problem but that does not preclude me from commenting on it.

LOL You are denying the video that shows Trump calling the Prime ministers remarks "nasty and inappropriate"? You take denial to a new level. Here's a new one to deny....Trump claiming he is the "chosen one" and looking towards heaven. You really can't make this stuff up.

Yes, Donald Trump really believes he is 'the chosen one' - CNNPolitics

You're entitled to your opinion, as we are to ours. Your moral outrage is silly.

That's pretty funny coming from those who have completely obliterated the president's words this morning for their own political agendas....

They are not entitled to their own facts.

No, only you are.

He asked a question, he was told no, and he threw a fit.

What's there to debate?

So you can not prove a chronology of events to back up your argument. Got it.

What actually happened was that he asked a question and complimented the government and the people... was told no by some outraged governmental officials who then insulted him... and then he called their response nasty. And here we have a ****load of hacks condemning Trump.

I never liked Trump either. Now that he is in office, do you think his presidency is better, worse, or about what you expected?

His personal behavior and twitter account is not at all surprising. I am happy many of his policies have been tied up in courts. I think we could be in a worse position than we actually are. I do think he is damaging the immigration system and trying to make it more difficult on legal immigrants, but I excepted his anti immigration campaign would be much worse. His attacks on asylum seekers, decreasing the number of legal immigrants allowed each year, and attacking "chain migration" is going to have real consequences nonetheless.

Worse. So much worse. Dear God, unbelievably worse.

I thought he could be an okay president. He had made a few promises where if he followed through on them, he would have pulled the far right closer to a centrist position. I believed he actually would hire "the best people", or at least competent people. I thought he would bring good business sense to the cabinet meetings. Thought he would shed the clown act and be the competent businessman behind closed doors.

He has folded to the worst of the GOP. Not only breaking his promises on things like healthcare, but threatening people who refused to vote for the opposite of what he promised. And he's insane. Now I don't know how he managed to keep up the competent businessman persona before he was elected. Well, it helped that he had billions of dollars to throw around, so he if lost a little, he still had a lot and could pretend it was good business decisions which kept him in that bracket. And it helped that The Apprentice was highly edited and what ended up on the cutting room floor is locked up tight somewhere that we won't ever see it.

Basically, I didn't realize that he was a lunatic. But he really is. I knew from what did make it onto The Apprentice show that he was, shall we say, culturally insensitive. And ... oh well, I'll stop there and repeat that he's much much worse than I ever imagined someone who was able to wake up and go to work every day could possibly be.

Think how Trumpsters would have responded if Obama had ever said "I'm the Chosen One" in any context.

But it's different! He didn't actually say that (he did)!

Greenland is as much a "country" as Scotland is.

Correct. And Scotland is not a country either. It is a province of the United Kingdom.

It's reasonable for you that our president publicly mused that we should buy another country because we'd like access to their natural resources, and then be a "victim" because the refusal wasn't polite enough for the blundering fool?

So you don't actually care what was actually said or who said it... all good. I just learned my lesson in trying to debate honestly with you.

If this was a serious thought of his, it should have been handled diplomatically, and then no one would have to be defending the stupidity of the United States President.

China even has interest in Greenland.

How is sitting in a novelty tea house talking crap about Republicans and shopping at Whole Foods then getting in, generally, either a 1980's Volvo (to show how hippy you are) or a new BMW, to drive back to your multi-million dollar house/property " trying to make the world more equal and fair"?

I lived with and worked with lots of these hypocrites up in Marin and West Sonoma County...

None of that is evidence of hypocrisy, other than the NEW assumption that all they're doing is "sitting in a novelty tea house and talking crap about Republicans" versus something else.

I have a decent job, drive an Audi, and volunteered, donated to, and served on the board, of a homeless shelter for about a decade until recently. Am I a hypocrite because of the car or the paid off house or because I didn't give ALL our money to the shelter?

But buying the wheels of a car is. Or buying the dice hanging from the mirror? :lamo You have no credibility to critique anyone else's analogies.

I admitted that it was a bad analogy... although the wheels made it that the context and point were spot on perfect... but you saying that ,considering that you can't even get the chronology of quotes correctly, isn't saying much... at... all.

The Russians will be working overtime this year too. That's why we need overwhelming turnout. We've only got one shot at this.

Democrats flipped 42 seats last year, all moderate. GOPs flipped 2 in MN. They're not coming back.
31 House seats now held by Democrats were won by #45, with only 3 left that are GOP/Clinton.

A third pattern in 2016 was GOP Senators winning trump states by more to much more than trump won them.
This up-ballot coattail effect occurred in IA, WI, PA, AZ, FL, NC and GA.

Robert Cahaly of Trafalgar Group was the ONLY pollster to predict the Electoral College, getting 47 states.
He missed on only WI, NH, and NV, a veritable flip of 10 EVs, so he essentially hit the EC vote perfectly.

Cahaly and trump campaign head Parscale use the same technique, polling voters who've not voted recently.
There were 94 million of those in 2016, while 8 million voters went third party.

At this time, Parscale is on the ground in Clinton states where she won less than 50% of the votes but won the state.
Oregon was 50.07% -- then MN, VA, CO, NV, NM, and NH

Even IF making an offer to buy a country were "Normal" , a representative of one party would meet with a representative of the other. The surprising offer would not be made in a tweet. Is New Zealand for sale? Maybe Kim would like a more southern view?

Here we can start to agree... although in this day and age, where Tweeting is so normal (and the response from the Danish Government was also in a Tweet, (so don't be hypocritical about it) the idea of Tweeting an idea is not so strange. He didn't actually offer to buy Greenland in his Tweet. There was not amount... nothing about availability... it was not anything official. Why they got upset and why you guys are hell bent on making this into something defies common sense.

Maybe Kim would like Bod's house. I'm sure New Zealand would be okay with selling that county for the right price.

What if the United States offered to buy Stewart Island for 10 Trillion dollars? I bet New Zealand would sell it. Why not?

I saw Trump talking to reporters about this. His comments are basically, "she was mean to me... Harry Truman also discussed getting Greenland.... other people had the idea... all she had to do was say no, but she said it was absurd, and that's mean... She shouldn't treat the US that way."

Trump refers to himself as the US. She didn't say the US was absurd. She said the discussion was absurd.

Furthermore, Denmark told Trump no yesterday. His twitter record shows it.

4:51 PM - 20 Aug 2019: Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time....

Trump couldn't take a simple no. He tried to pressure them by canceling his trip.

The man is a little bitch.

It is called politics... Look... Obama cancelled a trip to Asia due to politics.

I know a person in real life, and they say very similar things. They thought he was an actual, good businessman, and that he would shed the crazy guy act. She is really shocked and surprised by his behavior like you.

I never really thought he was a good business man. I have a lot of good friends in NYC, and for years, they said he has been lying about his net worth. He used to blow up the NYC media with self promotion all the time. He knew how to use the media to his advantage, and he created a false narrative about himself. He would call Howard Stern, anything. He wanted the press. He wanted to be relevant, and he constantly pushed an image of a billionaire.

Everything he did was self promotion, which was promotion of Trump Incorporated.

We always knew he was a fraud.

Also, I have always viewed his behavior... how he always states he is the best, the brightest, etc. He is the best businessman who has ever lived. It's all a reflection of his own sensitivity and inability to admit failures. If anything says he is not as successful as he claims to be, it's his own behavior and proclamations about how special and great he is.
