Nasty man says what?

You want me to prove Trump acts like a baby?

No. I want you to prove the chronolgy of events... that what you said was true. Good luck.

Go!

He asked a question, he was told no, and he threw a fit.

What's there to debate?

I am not just winning... I am demolishing you. What is absurd about asking to buy land from another country? As I have pointed out REPEATEDLY in this thread... this is not some uncommon thing and it has happened all throughout history and is happening now, in fact.

this whole part of the post was just off topic...

You enjoy acting like this so go ahead. I'm not impressed and neither is anyone else The only thing you've demolished is your own rational persona.

Greenland is not an autonomous country... it is an autonomous TERRITORY and it is OWNED by Denmark.

Greenland is the world's largest island and an autonomous Danish dependent territory with limited self-government and its own parliament.

greenland - Google Search

That being cleared up... why should Paris not be for sale?

Greenland is as much a "country" as Scotland is.

It's reasonable for you that our president publicly mused that we should buy another country because we'd like access to their natural resources, and then be a "victim" because the refusal wasn't polite enough for the blundering fool?

If this was a serious thought of his, it should have been handled diplomatically, and then no one would have to be defending the stupidity of the United States President.

Bad analogy... buying a house is not analogous to buying land from a country...

But buying the wheels of a car is. Or buying the dice hanging from the mirror? :lamo You have no credibility to critique anyone else's analogies.

He actually complimented the government and the people, I pointed out this fact earlier as well... they then responded with insults and outrage... he then called that response... nasty. He, surprisingly, came out gracious in this incident and they came across like immature idiots.

I think you might be among a very small minority that think Trump was at all gracious in this exchange.

He is solidifying his base and the more he talks the smaller it gets. He is a verbal terrorist. His need to abuse people is astonishing.

He's concentrating his base, boiling them down to the dregs.

Greenland is not a sovereign territory... I asked you a couple of times now, with no answer... why is it abnormal or insulting to inquire about purchasing land?

Even IF making an offer to buy a country were "Normal" , a representative of one party would meet with a representative of the other. The surprising offer would not be made in a tweet. Is New Zealand for sale? Maybe Kim would like a more southern view?

Maybe Kim would like Bod's house. I'm sure New Zealand would be okay with selling that county for the right price.

*sigh*

"The irony of this vile petty man referring to anyone or anything else as nasty."

That's what I wrote. And it applies. I am not deflecting. Trump is the blackest of pots and he should never say a single bad word about any kettle. Much less kettles who are quite understandably yet with considerable restraint going on the record to object to Trump's absurdity when it involves something they have a responsibility for.

The Danish PM did nothing wrong. Said nothing "nasty". But here you are deflecting for all you're worth, as you consistently do for the orange stain.

I saw Trump talking to reporters about this. His comments are basically, "she was mean to me... Harry Truman also discussed getting Greenland.... other people had the idea... all she had to do was say no, but she said it was absurd, and that's mean... She shouldn't treat the US that way."

Trump refers to himself as the US. She didn't say the US was absurd. She said the discussion was absurd.

Furthermore, Denmark told Trump no yesterday. His twitter record shows it.

4:51 PM - 20 Aug 2019: Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time....

Trump couldn't take a simple no. He tried to pressure them by canceling his trip.

The man is a little bitch.

I've said the same above, and they still lie about what Trump said. Parrots!

And these Democrooks wonder why they will not win the next presidential election....

He said her statements were nasty. Regardless, his reaction shows what a thin skinned baby he is.

Are you actually a proud Trump supporter right now?

What about it? The administrative aspect is not strictly speaking essential to the purchase of property.

Buying land is not buying people... like your analogy insinuated.

Even IF making an offer to buy a country were "Normal" , a representative of one party would meet with a representative of the other. The surprising offer would not be made in a tweet. Is New Zealand for sale? Maybe Kim would like a more southern view?

Kim would never buy it though and neither would Trump if he were really the Hitlerian threat to the globe the loony left claims he is. He would just take it by force.

Before he said that her response was nasty... THEY said this about him:

""For no reason Trump assumes that (an autonomous) part of our country is for sale. Then insultingly cancels visit that everybody was preparing for," the Conservative People's Party spokesman for Greenland, Rasmus Jarlov, said on Twitter. "Are parts of the US for sale? Alaska? Please show more respect."

"Is this some sort of joke? Deeply insulting to the people of Greenland and Denmark," former Danish Prime Minster Helle Thorning-Schmidt wrote on Twitter.

Morten Østergaard, the head of the Danish Social-Liberal Party, said on Twitter that it "shows why, more than ever, we should consider the EU countries our closest allies.

The man is incalculable.""

So he gets all that and says in response... that they were being nasty.

And now you guys are ****ting all over him about his response... can you explain why their initial response was professional and Presidential while his response was inappropriate?

I am personally not ****ting all over his response. I do however recognize his behavior as childish, immature, retaliatory, unproductive, and ignorant. He canceled a trip to Denmark, because they weren't willing to sell him Greenland. The PM was right. Greenland belongs to the people of Greenland. It's not up to her to sell the people and their island to a foreign government.

Trump is absurd. Trump is a baby.

Democrats will win because 60% of the nation knows Trump needs to go.

Democrats will win because they will have people coming from a wide spectrum of affiliations and ideologies. They'll gain votes from people like me to end this abomination. I didn't vote for Hillary, but I will absolutely vote for whomever they nominate this time, because we gave Trump a chance and what we the nation learned is how much worse he turned out to be than most of us non-Democrats ever imagined was possible.

Some on the leftwing fringes will still sit out, but most of last year's third party voters will vote against Trump. That's why Democrats will win, and you can move on to being outraged about Democrats trying to fix what Trump broke instead of deflecting for the worst human being ever to sit in the Oval Office.

I am just curious, did you not vote or did you vote third party?

You lied about Trump's words to the P/M of Denmark. If he loses, it won't be because of the liars.
Why did you need to lie?

People who lie to themselves and to others do so for a reason...
6 Reasons People Lie When They Don’t Need To | Psychology Today

You don't need to lie, Amanda.
You need to beat Trump on the issues.
Sadly, many can't, hence they lie.

Do you really not see anything wrong with Trump's behavior? with his rants? He is going to lose because of who he is, not because of lies.

I am just curious, did you not vote or did you vote third party?

I voted 3rd party for President. Voted Democrat for every other office in 2016. Was a reliable Republican voter before that.

I considered Hillary, tried to get my husband to consider her, or at least to get over the idea that she was "evil". But he wasn't letting that go, and it seemed disloyal to vote for someone he considered evil.

He voted Trump. Pretty sure he won't do that again, though less sure that he would go all the way over and vote for the Democrat.
