So today trump clarified his disloyal remark. If a jewish person votes for a democrat they are disloyal to israel and jews in general. He also went on to talk about how denmark insulted the united states of america when greenland said the idea of buying their island was absurd.

Another day of trump insulting those who piss him off. He sure is solidifying the idea that trump only attacks people who attack him first. It's only going to get worse as time passes and the elections draw closer. I can't even begin to imagine how bad it is since the insanity level is already sky-high.

Interesting that Trump thinks that American Jews owe allegiance to Israel. I wonder if he thinks Catholics owe allegiance to the Vatican.

Every week he gets more bizarre and unhinged and every week his cult gets younger, more white, more male and more angry...

Israel. We don't ****ing live in Israel. Nor do the American Jews.

If their allegiance is to Israel, **** them too. Go live there.

That man is the most idiotic person I have ever seen in my life.

With respect, Israel was created after World War 2 as a safe Haven exactly for the cases when White Nationalism rises up in a nation and invariably Jews are persecuted as a result. So, I would not blame American Jews wanting what's best for Israel, especially nowadays... thanks to you know who...

No one is blaming American Jews to want what's best for Israel. I know it's slightly nuanced, but can you not see a difference between, 'wanting what's best' and suggesting Americans be loyal to a foreign nation?

loy·al

/ˈloi(ə)l/

adjective: loyal

giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution.
"he remained loyal to the government"

Al·le·giance
/əˈlējəns/

noun: allegiance; plural noun: allegiances

loyalty or commitment of a subordinate to a superior or of an individual to a group or cause.

Numnuts couldn't detect the difference if he wanted to. He lacks knowledge in just about every subject, but he sure knows everything about being malicious...

Our president defends israel but insults american jews. I am afeared our prez is going off the deep end.

The thin skin bastard went nuts when Denmark's prime minister (or whoever she is) said it was absurd to want to buy Greenland. He took it personally.

Right after that, he went on some wild rant about the American Jews voting Democrat again.

Not two brain cells to rub together. What a disgrace to my once proud country.

Such a shame-and I mean this sincerely; there was a time, about three years ago, when America was still respected, trusted and held in some affection, globally (except, of course, by the usual suspects). In those three short years Trump has managed to erode all that and create a laughing stock of his administration and, by extension, America. I fear repairs may take many years. Loyalty, respect and trust have to be earned, not demanded. Presidents come and go but memories are long.

The majority of Republicans who support Israel do it because of their Christian faith's predictions about the Apocalypse and the Second Coming of Christ. They want Jerusalem to be given to the Jews because that's what is supposed to happen before the Second Coming.

But hey, it's disloyal of Jews to not support people with such ulterior motives in helping them?

I'd say more about why rational, humane Jews wouldn't support what Republicans support, but I'm afraid of violating the Israel/Palestine rules.

Where are you when black Conservatives are called sellouts?

Black conservatives who backed Trump are suddenly offended — but they sold their souls long ago | Salon.com

Have black Conservatives "sold their souls"?

Regarding Greenland.

Disagree. I think that assuming Trump keeps up his antics and lies til he leaves office, if/when whoever follows him from either party says something between Bush One's thought of creating a "kinder, gentler nation," (implying some of Reagan's excesses) and Ford's "our long national nightmare is over," (think Nixon), we will be forgiven our funhouse ride with Trump.

I would hope so. America deserves better.

I hope you're right, still, the next Presidents biggest most urgent task will be restoring respect and dignity to the Office of President of The United States.

I complete agree with you, and many of us in this country feel the same way about this destructive and divisive character in the white house. :(

Interesting that Trump thinks that American Jews owe allegiance to Israel. I wonder if he thinks Catholics owe allegiance to the Vatican.

You are wrong on two counts:

1. Voting Democratic does not mean you're being disloyal to Israel. For example, trump is much more loyal to Russia than he is to Israel.
2. Jews and Catholics do not need to be 100% loyal to Israel and the Vatican respectively. People are free to make up their own minds. Some Jews don't approve of the way Palestinians are treated. Some Catholics support birth control and abortion.

I'm disappointed these things need to be explained to you.

No, when he first said it trump meant Jews were being disloyal to the U.S. When he was informed he overstepped he tried to walk back his remarks.

In Machiavelli's book he said it's better to be feared than loved. The world loved us when they could take advantage of us.

That's what I got from it, too. Trump thinks disloyal Jews are a problem in America. I wonder what his base thinks we ought to do about this problem. Do you think they could come up with a final solution?

In Machiavelli's book he said it's better to be feared than loved. The world loved us when they could take advantage of us.

Nobody took advantage of America; quit listening to what Trump tells you. You'll be much better informed. The world loved you when you had halfway decent leaders, not a disgusting senile geriatric.
