Harry Reid rips Dems over 'Medicare-for-all,' border policies

Former Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid had some harsh words for his party's presidential candidates, rejecting some of their health care and immigration policies as too extreme to resonate with voters in a general election.

Reid, during a newly published interview with Vice, specifically took aim at "Medicare-for-all" and calls by many candidates to decriminalize illegal border crossings. The blunt-talking former Nevada senator suggested any Democratic nominee running on these issues could face trouble.

“People want a fair immigration system. They don’t want an open-door invitation for everybody to come at once,” Reid said in the interview with Vice. When asked if supporting decriminalization could be bad for Democrats in 2020, Reid said, “Of course it is.”

Reid accused Democrats of not having their priorities in order going into the election.

Harry Reid saying the Democrats do not have their priorities in order is certainly an understatement. They seem to have lost their marbles!

He's helping a Democratic party that has moved so far left it is unrecognizable! Senator Reid is 100%. America does not want open borders. He's basically throwing a lifeline to his friend Joe Biden. The question is Joe Biden rescuable? Biden says JFK and RFK were assassinated in the 70s. Does he also claim he met with the parkland kids when he was the vp?

No reason.

Reid had zero control over his caucus, and we can thank him for the public option being DOA. But worse than that was the constant steamrolling from McConnell. Reid allowed McConnell to take the federal judiciary hostage for four years, so the seats could be saved for a Republican administration, and waited too late to nuke the filibuster to stop him. Now, it is the Republicans who are filling those seats at rapid fire pace, just like they had planned from the time they had enough power to filibuster.

20% of the judiciary has been appointed by Trump. That's the legacy of Reid and you'd assume he'd never show his face again, but he appears to have zero shame for his failings, and just can't stop giving out advice.

Why anyone takes what these incompetent Democrat leaders say seriously is beyond me.
