Okay dokey pokey

Read the article and educate yourself.Did he make such threats?
But yes - pre-crime should be punishable by death if necessary.
:hm
Your intentional stupidity is tedious.Did he express intent to commit mass murder?
Sounds like pre-crime to me.
Guilty until proven innocent.
Maybe he could hold the Constitution as we fry him?
Two birds with one stone.

I’m gonna give you credit for being smart enough to know the answer to your question, but take that credit back for asking such an asinine question in the first place. If he posts on facebook about a mass shooting and a person reads it, but does not turn the poster in for bad thoughts, is this a conspiracy to commit murder?
I'm just wondering what kind of thoughts constitute actionable behavior.
Another asinine question. Now you’re below zero. :2no4:Motor vehicle operators in the USA are 60% more likely to kill someone than gun operators in the USA. 40,000 vehicle deaths vs 24,000 gun deaths.
Guns are more numerous than vehicles.
Bullets kill people? Would this be like headlights killing people? Do the operators of these two general groups of devices have any culpability in the deaths that result? Should we be jailing only the guns of mass murderers?
Do either guns or cars (or bullets) kill anyone with no human guidance or error? Links?
Read the article and educate yourself.

Agree, except on the ignorant part. Ignorance can be excused and eliminated by education. Stupid is forever. I think “stupid” would’ve been a better word choice. :cheers:It is not legal to make threats to murder people. That this has to be explained to you people like it's a new concept further proves Trump supporters are ignorant children.
Threatening speech is not protected speech. FL has at least one law against it.
836.10 Written threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism; punishment

I hope the state hammers this asshole.
I don't know the full story but we're talking about a guy saying something to his girlfriend in private. How many of you have said something like, "Man! I wish those people would just die already!", to your friends or relatives? We've seen those kind of language on forums.
Much more to it than someone harmlessly venting frustration to a friend. Wix was texting his intent to commit mass murder essentially for the fun of it.
“In one text he said, “A school is a weak target.. id be more likely to open fire on a large crowd of people from over 3 miles away.. I’d wanna break a world record for longest confirmed kill ever,” according to deputies.
What you wanna do after the fact, is your own business, if you want to plan to escape we can work on that. But I don’t intend on walking away alive, unless I see it fit,” deputies said Wix texted.
“In yet another he said, “But a good 100 kills would be nice. I already have a location (laughing cry face emoji) is that bad?” and “I’m not crazy I just wanna die and I wanna have fun doing it, but I’m the most patient person in the world.”

Wordcrime is the most dangerous form of crime.
It confirms thoughtcrime.

This is really scary, but at least these guys weren't the smartest...I mean seriously, one posted on FB, one posted on Instagram, and the other guy told his gf he was going to shoot up 100 people. WTF??? Are they all in it for the "shock" value?
- In Connecticut, 22-year-old man was arrested after authorities said he had expressed interest in committing a mass shooting on Facebook
- A man in Daytona Beach, Florida, was arrested in a Winn-Dixie parking lot on Friday after telling his gf that a good 100 kills would be nice'
- In Ohio, 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly threatening to carry out a shooting at a Youngstown Jewish community center.
There could have been three more mass shootings if these men weren't stopped, authorities say
What percentage of people who express such "indications" commit acts of "domestic terror?"
We need people control, not gun control. These are perfect examples of locking these guys up before they do something. And, they should be kept locked up.
Don't know and don't care....they should at least be spoken to. They should be treated just like I am cuffed, questioned, searched and released if they pose no threat.
If a person with a tail light bulb out can be detained, questioned and searched someone that makes a threat should at the minimum face the same.
Gun control could help save their lives...many of them are veterans
Hi, and thanks for taking time to post a response. In answer to your question, you've nicely stated the problem in your question.
In instances of gunshot, there are, almost without exception, three components. There's the bullet, the gun from which it's fired and the shooter who operates the mechanism of the gun. I don't believe I've left anything out.
Now, in order to eliminate deaths and woundings by gunshot, one or more components must be eliminated.
I, for one, would not feel comfortable in suggesting that we eliminate people.
Regards.
It is not legal to make threats to murder people. That this has to be explained to you people like it's a new concept further proves Trump supporters are ignorant children.
2/3 are shooting themselves, not others.
Whenever you guys dismiss role of guns in suicides (and that's normally the intent of those that bring up this statistic), it just means you have not looked much into what we know about suicides.
Perhaps you think suicides are pre-planned, months in advance and carefully orchestrated or something. That's not how it works. Majority of people that decide to commit suicide make that decision within minutes (or hours) of the actual attempt. E.g. after some event pushes them over the edge. Sure there are plenty of unhappy people out there. But access to guns (or other easy and perceived-to-be-fast-thus-painless means of dying) makes suicides MUCH MUCH more common without giving a chance to the victim to get out of the rut.
So yes, suicides count just as much.
To add to KevinKohler, being human DOES unfortunately mean wanting to cause harm to others sometimes. That's in our nature. Do I really have to convince you? Think about history? Heck, you just can look at the kinds of movies and shows our (and world) population enjoys. So pretending like we can fix THAT is just BS. The only way to avoid more casualties is to get rid of the MEANS.
Which do you believe to be the most important motivation to committing intentional suicide:
1. The presence of a firearm?
2. The absence of hope and courage?
3. The presence of fear and despair?
Do you feel that most people who commit suicide do so when the first thought of suicide crosses their mind or do you think it has been a re-occurring thought?
I had a period of internal bleeding and the sensation of being down a few quarts is actually quite pleasant. It's like falling asleep. Must be nature's way of softening the blow. Seems vastly superior to a gun shot, freezing or drowning or burning.
People who commit suicide are probably not checking items off a to-do list. They are in a pit of despair and hopelessness. There is absolutely NOTHING they can see that is good in their future.
These folks need help. They need hope. They don't have hope. Theydon't know how to seek to the help they need. This is personal and societal tragedy.
Guns are tools. Lacking a gun, the job can be accomplished with other tools. Suicide is a tragedy. Guns are tools.
