I am an atheist. I vote for Democrats for the same reason that nearly all Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Sihks, and followers of all other major non-Christian religions do so. The Republican Party has simply monopolized the cultural and racial resentment of older, white Christian men to either the ignorance and detriment of everyone else.

So when you look at the 60 odd members of Congress who are not Christians—which includes three Hindus, three Muslims and two Buddhists—only 2 of the 60 are Republicans. Those two are David Kustoff (R-TN) and Lee Zeldin (R-NY).

Christians tend to vote for candidates who best support Christian values.

Since the Republican side of the political spectrum tends to be the opposite of the atheists, it just makes perfect sense that atheists would not support that side of the aisle. Perhaps they only vote democrat because it's the only other option?
