Why do almost all atheists vote democrat?

You don't even know why it matters that you get your numbers right, do you? :lol: I'd like to have that discussion with you, but you first need to prove that you are willing to admit that you were wrong to imply that 3/4 ≈ 2/3 in this context. If you do that, we can see if you know anything about significant digits, and THEN we can finally get to the politics of the voting breakdown of atheists.

But you first need to prove your standing in this debate. So far you have failed miserably to do that. :shrug:

But the very fact that Democrats are largely responsible for "In God We Trust" and for "Under God" in the mid-1950s should tell you that the line did not used to exist and that the GOP and DNC were big tents. And, by the way, these two developments had everything to do with answering the Soviet Union's atheism during the Cold War.

And do you think your Republican representatives all believe in God or are plenty of them just paying you lip service when they need to? Do you think Trump is a "Godly" man? I believe that you believe what you want to desperately see in these people, not what is actually there insulting your beliefs.

This is true. But this is also not what I stated. I was raised Christian but don't believe in God or Easter Bunnies, I support Israel out of simple obligation, and I criticize Israel for its historical disrespect and acting like a major thorn in our ass that constantly damages our Middle Eastern Foreign Policy.

Instead of trying to burst bubbles in order to win an argument you cannot win, actually engage in the argument, recognize the historical facts and truths from your illusions and tendencies to gravitate towards theology, and ****ing LEARN.

I find it an absurd notion in the modern concept given the fact there's been no intervention since the days of old; specifically with the Abrahamic faiths. It's clear their god was more interventionist in nature back then, but has not intervened despite horrors much worse since Biblical times.

I think Plato was right about the truth; because we can't know all of the possibilities which make something "true" in the broadest sense possible. I do think I'm closer to the essence of that quote in that I am open to the concept of not knowing the unknowable versus those who choose fill that absence with their own ideas which they then pass of as truth.

I don't consider myself "hostile" to the concept of a deity with an interest in humanity; I just haven't seen anything consistent in terms of action over the span of our history. As I stated before, we've had none of the same intervention in modern times as we did in the past from deities of any of the modern faiths.

First of all I dont need to prove anything to you and second the difference between 3/4 and 2/3 in this context is meaningless. I never claimed any particular number and it doesnt matter to me which one you use. Why? Because the overwhelming majority of atheists are on the left. Your own link says so. But rather than admit it, you are arguing semantics.

By definition Christians, and others, who believe they have a close personal relationship with a magical invisible all powerful being are gullible.

easily persuaded to believe something; credulous.

So they believe what they're told to believe by people who claim the mantlehood of knowing what they god wants them to do. That's the Republican party.

Some atheists are gullible, by most are skeptics in my experience, and skeptics aren't gullible, so they don't fall for the lies and racism of someone like Trump nearly as easily.

Democrats now openly favor socialism over free market capitalism. Democrats favor shutting God out of politics. Democrats support sins such as homosexuality and abortion which Christians oppose. Democrats have expressed displeasure with America's history of Christian influence, and so forth. It is no wonder atheists tend to vote democrat.

I do think many republicans have not been indoctrinated into the godless socialist hedonism that is so often being taught in American universities nowadays.
