And what we are finding out is that Moscow Mitch would sell out our country, to our enemy's, for the sake of his pocket book, Something that we think as far as Trotsky Trump is concerned also. They will hold hands with the devil to make a buck. These people are a ugly group and there is nothing that they do for the common man in this country , Their party exist for one reason and that is to transfer the total new wealth of this country to the golden few at the top and this has been the case since Reagan's trickle down lie in 1981. During that time we have seen absolutely massive increase of profit and every dime went to the golden few. They have taken away the main incentive of capitalism and that can't be argued . The reason Capitalism is the only way is that it has the promise of the potential to get ahead and there has been none of that since 1981.

Moscow Mitch sticking up for the Kentucky Kremlin and the Russian Rustbelt.

Based on what? Are we dissing turtles again?

Not seeing why he is in the news.

Russian friend Moscow Mitch is also NRA friend Massacre Mitch.

Not seeing why he is in the news.

He's in the news because he lobbied for sanctions to be removed from a Russian company for them to be able to build an aluminum mill in Kentucky. Former Mitch McConnell aides lobbied for sanctioned Russian company to build plant in Kentucky | Salon.com

Former McConnell chief of staff Hunter Bates and former top McConnell adviser Brendan Dunn, who now work at lobbying giant Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, pressed Congress and the Treasury Department to allow the Russian company Rusal to invest $200 million to develop an aluminum mill in McConnell’s home state.

Rusal was only allowed to make the investment after the Treasury Department lifted sanctions on the company when sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska reportedly agreed to give up control in the firm. Deripaska, who was owed millions by former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort and received internal campaign information from him, was sanctioned for helping the Kremlin seize land in Ukraine, ship weapons to the Syrian military, and interfere in foreign elections.

McConnell claimed in May that his support for the sanctions rollback was “completely unrelated to anything that might happen in my home state.”

That's why the "Moscow Mitch" moniker was tagged on McConnell.

Moscow Mitch McConnell is also sitting on two passed House bills that would increase 2020 election security.

Moscow Mitch says he will not bring these bills to the Senate floor for a vote.

Clearly he shouldn't be Senate Majority Leader and he's up for re-election in 2020. Hopefully the people in Kentucky still have souls and a conscience and will vote his old sorry ass out of office. His campaign even tweeted a satirical image of McConnell's 'graveyard' with the names of his enemies on tombstones. The right have become a cabal of sick ****ers.

McConnell is Senate majority leader, not speaker of the house

As I recall, the law required those particular sanctions to be lifted when Deripaska was no longer in charge of the firm.

So investigate. If crimes were committed, prosecute. If found guilty, throw in prison.

It ain’t rocket surgery.

That's right, that was the stipulation but still, many people feel that McConnell stood to gain a lot from doing business with a Russian company previously under sanctions for hacking our election while Deripaska 'stepped down' which is code for 'yeah the guy is gone but not really gone'.

I wonder if people here think that the Russian Billionaire really gave up ownership of the company. It's like Cheney giving up his association with Halliburton, but still start a war that's a lie and coincidentally Halliburton turns out to be the biggest monetary gainer of the war. Are they all brain dead.

Deripaska at least went through the motions of separating himself from Rusal if only on paper. Trump didn't even do that. He just refused to divest himself from his Trump Organization business to keep it separate from his role as president. This is why he's facing so many investigations for ethics violations. But Trump didn't even care to make it look like his role as president and that of CEO of Trump Organization were separate. His business enterprises will always cast a doubt onto his presidency as far as whether his decisions are made in the best interests of the United States or of his business bottom line.

Tell me what's wrong in this:

- Russians known to have attacked the US election
- Bi-partisan Congress passes sanctions including Rusal/Deripaska who was key
- trump plans to repeal sanctions
- Bi-Partisan Congress votes to prevent trump from lifting sanctions; House votes strongly to do so, Senate appears it will do the same
- McConnelll prevents bill from vote in Senate, allowing sanctions to be liften
- Deripaska announces $200 million to be spent on Aluminum plant in poor part of Kentucky where jobs are badly needed
- Even Democrats in Kentucky often say they support the money, since the poor people need it
- Deripaska says the money can be taken away - cancel plans, close plant - if there is any move to return sanctions, or investigate
- Deripaska seeing how well the Russian technique of spending money to gain power they do in many countries is working, writes to eight governors saying he wants to build plants in their states also
- Issue publicized; US does little to prevent this corruption and defend our country from the attack on our election
- Coming up: McConnell re-election chances greatly helped as he points to jobs from factory
- McConnell remains in office, continuing sweetheart deal where he supports trump, while his wife remains Transportation Secretary, where she has a special process only for him to fast-track any projects he wants, which he gains from supporting

That's quite disturbing. I bet the Russian internet trolls are going to do a real number on the folks in Kentucky to get them to vote for Moscow Mitch, too.

The enemy is at the gate and Moscow Mitch and Trump are letting them in.

Very likely, but they don't even seem to have to. The power of 'jobs for despeate Kentuckians' seems to give them carte blanche - just as trump said he wouldn't criticize the Saudi murder of a US resident because of the money they spend on our weapons.

The enemy is at the gate and Moscow Mitch and Trump are letting them in.

They're on their team.

First off, I want to go on record stating that I am opposed to the embracing of Trump-style rhetoric on the left. It's unbecoming of us, and frankly just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Second, Trotsky was both an absolute madlad and a certified badass, and it's atrocious that he's being equated to Trump in any way.

I agree, but have never heard the term madlad.

I did grow up in the Sixties and Seventies hearing the term BADLAD quite a bit - but MADLAD is something new for me also.

I'll just leave this here.
Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska tends to make headlines for his past business relationship with Paul Manafort, but he has a stronger relationship to Christopher Steele’s dossier than he does to Manafort.

Just like Steele, Deripaska has been courted by the FBI in the past. In his case it was by former FBI director Andrew McCabe in 2009 to work on a project in Robert Mueller’s FBI. An associate of Deripaska seemed in indicate earlier in the year that Deripaska fed information to Christopher Steele, and now Deripaska has confirmed that he was paid by Steele to be a dossier source in a recent interview with The Hill’s John Solomon.
. . .

Deripaska’s clearest connection to the dossier is in regards to “Source D,” Sergei Millian. “Source D” is who the fictitious “golden showers” story is attributed to.

Millian met with Deripaska at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum between June 16 and 18th in 2016. Two days after the forum ended, Steele wrote a memo sourcing Millian. According to Chuck Ross, “Millian’s appearance at the St. Petersburg expo, photos of which he posted on Facebook, establishes for the first time that he was in Russia at the time the dossier placed him there as a source. And if Millian did indeed discuss Trump at the conference, that means Steele’s direct source was present at the conference.”

If that's the case, the narratives form the left, blaming McConnell, are, well, what's the word again?
