Addled and Rattled--Trump is a bigger danger now than ever

I would never describe those with whom I post as "libtards" or "contards." My understanding of economics is pretty unsophisticated too. But how often is just one contributor the cause of a recession?

I don't claim to be an expert either but I recognize meddling when I see it.

'He's Rattled': Trump Administration Has Not Planned for Recession as President Worries About Re-election Chances—Report

His foul brew of ignorance, stupidity, malignant narcissistic personality disorder and the desperation to get re-elected to avoid jail time when he's out of office could transform him from a lying blow-hard into an even more dangerous threat to our freedom than he already is.

How is Trump a threat to your freedom?

You must not have been paying attention when he congratulates Xi on "consolidating his power" (usurping outright dictatorship) by exclaiming:

"He's now president for life. President for life. No, he's great," Trump said. "And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot some day."

tRump would love to be come the dictator of America and hand it down to Javanka; that's how he is "a threat to your EVERY AmeriCAN's FREEDOM!

"I" plan to vote AGAINST giving him that shot.

Beyond hilarious that you think Maher speaks for me or liberals in general. He is absolutely right about how much big bag of **** Trump is, though. And he's right on the nose when he calls Trump a "whiny little bitch."

Click bait nonsense from a discredited media desperate to sell advertising.

IOW, you're obviously rattled, too. That's the Fox News Poll you're calling "discredited," so by extension all of Fox "News" is as well.

Trump isn't meddling.

Really?

In January 2018, Trump imposed tariffs on solar panels and washing machines of 30 to 50 percent.[1] In March 2018 he imposed tariffs on steel (25%) and aluminum (10%) from most countries,[2][3] which, according to Morgan Stanley, covered an estimated 4.1 percent of U.S. imports.[4] On June 1, 2018, this was extended to the European Union, Canada, and Mexico.[3] On July 6, 2018, in a separate move aimed at China, the Trump administration set a tariff of 25 percent on 818 categories of goods imported from China worth $50 billion, which led to China accusing the U.S. of instigating a trade war.[5]

After extensive trade talks with China ended without an agreement on May 10, 2019, President Trump raised the tariffs on another $200 billion in Chinese imports from 10% to 25%. China retaliated three days later, announcing new tariffs on $60 billion of American exports.[14][15] Additional tariffs on another $300 billion in Chinese goods were being considered, pending a USTR hearing and a public comment period in June 2019.[16] In May 2019, the Trump administration increased the direct CCC payments by $14.5 billion, plus another $1.6 billion in related aid, to further offset the impact of the tariffs on American farmers.[17] An additional $16 billion in farm aid was allocated in July 2019.[18]

U.S. lifting the steel and aluminum tariffs on Canada and Mexico on May 20, 2019, joining Australia and Argentina in being the only nations exempted from the regulations.[19][20] However, on May 30, Trump unilaterally announced his intention to impose a 5 percent tariff on all imports from Mexico beginning on June 10, with tariffs increasing to 10 percent on July 1, and by another 5 percent each month for three months, "until such time as illegal migrants coming through Mexico, and into our Country, STOP," adding illegal immigration as a condition for U.S.-Mexico tariff negotiations. The move was seen as threatening the ratification of the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), the North American trade deal set to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).[21] The tariffs were averted on June 7.[22]

A May 2019 analysis conducted by CNBC found Trump's tariffs are equivalent to one of the largest tax increases in the U.S. in decades.[23][24][25][26]

Between President Trump's 2017 inauguration and 2019, the U.S.'s trade deficit had grown by $119 billion. In March 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce stated that in 2018 the trade deficit reached $621 billion, the highest it had been since 2008.[183]

Tariffs imposed then lifted then imposed then lifted then imposed again; retaliatory tariffs against U.S. products; massive bailouts to farmers; long term loss of foreign markets by U.S. producers and massive increase in the trade deficit. As always, failure seems to be a core "organizing principle" for Republicans.

I'm not trying to protect anybody. I will repeat that hoping for a recession--irrespective of who's President--is malevolent.

So, you're repeating nonsense. What else is new. Hoping for a recession doesn't apply and wouldn't create one in any case. As someone else pointed out when you first blathered this idiocy it's just an attempt to deflect away from your ****bag's failures.

That (bolded above) depends on whether one counts predicting an impending recession based on "warning signs" counts as hoping for a recession. One could clearly imply that economic "experts" hope that their (fact based?) predictions are accurate.

The 'health' of the US economy is largely (60%?) driven by consumer spending. If a sizable portion of that consumer spending is based on one's feelings about the economic future (should I save more for a coming recession or buy that new widget now?) then such predictions of (hope for?) an impending recession could certainly have an impact on creating one.

Riiiiiight. lol fantasize much.

That reads like a lot of wishful hoping that there won't be a recession so ****bag can get re-elected. That pits a brief but painful economic period that's long overdue and can't be created or avoided by any amount of hoping but has the potentially great benefit of ridding the country of a horrible, racist, lying, neo-nazi-hugging bag of **** of a "president" against the extreme harm to the nation of having four more years of that disgusting person in office. If it were to happen I see it the former possibility as a small, temporary cost more than worth paying.

Riiiiiight. lol fantasize much.

So, we can count you, like your ****bag in the WH, as one more big fan of savage dictators around the world then. Color us not surprised.

How convenient your reply eliminated tRumps congratulations to Xi that was in my original post:

"He's now president for life. President for life. No, he's great," Trump said. "And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot some day."

It's tRumps "fantasy", not mine, that's frightening; he and his offspring Dictators of These United States "for life.

NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not trying to protect anybody. I will repeat that hoping for a recession--irrespective of who's President--is malevolent.

First, how does someone 'wanting' a recession cause one, and second, why do you think you get to tell people that their desire to protect the country from trump doesn't justify it, simply because you ignore the benefits they want from the country from that?

IOW, you're obviously rattled, too. That's the Fox News Poll you're calling "discredited," so by extension all of Fox "News" is as well.

"According to The Washington Post, Trump is anxious and has been calling business leaders from his New Jersey golf course this week for their views as administration officials try to soothe him with optimistic briefings about the underlying strength of America's economy."

I saw it reported that he just repeated his comments about cancelling the 2020 election and staying president long to come at his most recent rally in front of the captive audience who was ordered not to show any resistance. Unacceptable behavior from a president to be suggesting that when it's not CLEARLY a joke.

Trump and his offspring are all Dictators, Run for your lives. The sky is falling, the sky is falling.

Lonny Liberal idiocy at its finest.

No, but you can conclude your powers of observation are just as loony as predicted by most who do not suffer from these psychotic episodes.

I must defer to all ****bag supporters for examples of psychotic episodes...if the definition of "episode" means "constant and permanent."

Sometimes you people blurt out the truth by accident without realizing it.

Ooopsie? How in hell's name do you make yourself think that what you quoted makes your ****bag look better? Talk about "liberal derangement." That's beyond deranged.

And just like the average Liberal mentality, they lost voters in 2016 for the very same accusations and since Liberals believe in doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result, we all invite you to continue. Liberal do more to elect Trump than do his supporters.
