Everyone knew from the way the NYT reports they are 100% anti-president Trump.
The paper for the resist crowd. This just verifies that thinking. The Gray lady is
now officially dead...... It's a propaganda paper for the democrats and the resist movement.

Leaked Audio: NY Times shifts targeting of Trump from Russia collusion to racism

Executive Editor Dean Baquest: “We built our newsroom to cover one story [Russia collusion], and we did it truly well. Now we have to regroup, and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story [Trump’s racism].”

In an astounding audio transcript leaked to Slate, NY Times executive editor Dean Baquet reveals what we all knew: The NY Times is out to get Trump. It’s deliberate, it’s planned, and it’s shifting after Russia collusion failed to portraying Trump as racist.

Here’s the key passage from the transcript (emphasis added):

Dean Baquet: If we’re really going to be a transparent newsroom that debates these issues among ourselves and not on Twitter, I figured I should talk to the whole newsroom, and hear from the whole newsroom. We had a couple of significant missteps, and I know you’re concerned about them, and I am, too. But there’s something larger at play here. This is a really hard story, newsrooms haven’t confronted one like this since the 1960s. It got trickier after [inaudible] … went from being a story about whether the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia and obstruction of justice to being a more head-on story about the president’s character. We built our newsroom to cover one story, and we did it truly well. Now we have to regroup, and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story. I’d love your help with that. As Audra Burch said when I talked to her this weekend, this one is a story about what it means to be an American in 2019. It is a story that requires deep investigation into people who peddle hatred, but it is also a story that requires imaginative use of all our muscles to write about race and class in a deeper way than we have in years. In the coming weeks, we’ll be assigning some new people to politics who can offer different ways of looking at the world. We’ll also ask reporters to write more deeply about the country, race, and other divisions. I really want your help in navigating this story.

This is a smoking gun. It shows the most powerful news organization in the country congratulating itself for setting the anti-Trump narrative on Russia collusion, and seamlessly transitioning to setting a narrative of Trump as racist after collusion flopped.

There is a collusion case to be made, but it’s not about Trump and Russia. It’s about powerful news organizations throwing their weight behind Democrats.

Just so we know since you linked this AS FACT. YOU, Common Sense 1,have now admitted to the bolded as FACT that the NY Times is THE MOST POWERFUL NEWS ORIGINATION IN THE COUNTRY right?

We now have Common Sense 1 admitting that the NY Times is THE MOST POWERFUL NEWS ORIGINATION IN THE COUNTRY above anything else. Remember that folks for any time you want to.

It's not the New York Times. It's the New York Slimes. And now you see why. garbage in...garbage out.

I mean, the Russia thing is pretty much done now. If nothing gets done after the Mueller report and his testimony, nothing will get done. No point in keeping on about it.

So, the NYT's articles from now on will be Trump, the racist without actually using the word racist.

I read the whole transcript on Slate and then went on to the "comment" section. Someone described very clearly what I mean by "calling Trump a racist without using the word racist".

"The problem that the NYC staff is trying to resolve is that they want to include "nuance and hypocrisy" revelations in a headline---but these are not the actual words "fit to print" but subjective opinions by the anti-Trump staff. These opinions belong in an op-ed piece or perhaps in their personal twitter accounts.

A newspaper shouldn't look for ways to structure a headline that doesn't accurately report the facts as newsworthy. The Times was most respected when they published complete speeches that were important enough to report on and let the readers do their own interpretation.

They are trying to read Trump's mind according to their own beliefs as to what he means--and put in a news story. What if they are wrong and the President believes what he is saying? Simply not fair. Fake Newsroom revealed"

Facts no longer matter to the NYT (but we all knew that anyway), only suggestive writing.

I guess we're now gonna have a new thread on a daily basis about "Trump, the racist" ... courtesy of the NYT. (grin)

Hopefully the witch hunt is over and our leaders can start dong their jobs instead of dividing the country, spreading hate and despair.

Why are you so excited about "origination"?

Sad that out of all that, you have to play grammar Nazi. If you ACTUALLY followed the thread, you would realize I was saying Organization. Really sad on your part but given your typical comments I'm not surprised you can't contribute to anything meaningful. I bet you even puffed your chest out right? Go back to your usual Stormfront site Barnacle.

There isn't much to follow yet in that thread ... your post was #4 ... and you didn't say anywhere "organization" ... :lamo

Thank you for proving my point that you are just posting trolling comments. Typical of you which is why I'm sure you manifested yourself in this thread. You may move along now to some other thread to post trolling comments since you can't contribute anything meaningful to this thread.

So NYT got caught trying to take Trump down. Video at 11. :doh

Show me something something new, something everyone didn't already know.

Apparently you are incapable of following a thread ... see post #7.

No I read your take of a reply which was nothing more than an abortion of reality. So my point still stands un-refuted. Perhaps as your namesake goes, you should just focus yourself on boats instead of politics since your comments make ZERO sense and are just nonsense.

Abortion of reality?!? Man, it must be way past your bed time ... (grin)

Thank you for continuing to prove my point is 100% correct about your comments. :lamo

Origination ... :lamo

Yep you continue to point out a grammar mistake. Again you only prove my point is 100% correct about your comments. :lamo

You sound like a broken record ...

YOU are the one that keeps bringing up the mistake that I already addressed. YOU are the one sounding like a broken record.... But please keep posting
"Origination ... :lamo
like it's something new. Like I said before you only prove my comments 100% correct that you are just posting trolling comments.

The New York Times has always tilted left, but it used to be a respectable origination.

At one time we (US) were respected as well.

So what's new? The media which support Trump do exactly the same. In Britain we have the right-leaning populist tabloid Daily Mail with its well-documented lies and screeching, sensationalist headlines, which panders to our version of deplorables, and the left-leaning Guardian which has big words and long articles that the educated and thinking among us prefer and can understand.
The media have been attacking or siding with one party or another ever since the beginnings of mass-media; it's what they do-especially when a 'president' who is too thin-skinned to ride above it continually derides the media, calls it 'fake news' and insults journalists. Trump brings this on himself.
