Why this Never Trump ex-Republican will vote for almost any 2020 Democratic nominee

I don't really understand that decision unless you're essentially neutral about Trump, can take him or leave him and the precedents he's setting.

Just as a starting point, the reason to care about the candidates is for what they can do without Congress, which boils down to foreign policy, executive order stuff, staffing the federal government, and to some extent judges. Otherwise, the possibly Democratic POTUS will sign most or all of what can get through a presumably Democratic Congress, and it's there where the big changes can be made. I just don't see the POTUS if he or she is a Democrat mattering a whole lot. There will be a huge difference between Trump and any Democrat running (or independent, should that 0.01% chance of an independent winning pay off) but FAR less difference between Biden versus Sanders versus Warren, etc.

Although we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, there are two types of sinners: repentant ones and unrepentant ones. Repentant sinners are those after the God's heart; unrepentant sinners are damned. In Paul's letter to the Corinthians he writes. "11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone nwho bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one." ... we are to renounce them; and certainly NOT elect them as a leader of our nation.

I am not certain what policies Trump supports that are or should be favored by Christians.... maybe secular Christians that have never read the Gospel. Christians, however, that have ever spent time reading the word of Christ should be appalled by Trump.

Sorry, but any real Christian that supports Trump has comprised his values and God himself.

That's too bad... You could help to get rid of Trump but you are choosing not to. Same choice as many people made in 2016. Sure Clinton presidency would be "bad" to many people, but heck, there is no chance it would be as unstable and damaging to interests of this country long term as this one.

Democrats accused intelligence agencies of incompetence for claiming there was a possibility Iraq had WMDs in 2002. Heads of several intelligence agencies were proven wrong for suggesting there may have been collusion between Trump and Russia. And now democrats want to claim men who run intelligence agencies are wiser and more skilled at foreign diplomacy than Trump. No matter. Americans elected Trump to conduct foreign affairs, not heads of intelligence agencies.

1. Who supports abortion best? Democrats.
2. Who supports sodomy best? Democrats.
3. Who supports legalizing drugs and opening prisons and releasing felons to relieve crowded jails? Democrats.
4. Who supports open borders? Democrats.
5. Who supports trillion dollar funding for global warming? Democrats.
6. Who supports taxpayer funded free healthcare for illegals? Democrats.
7. Who disrespects cops and advocates they be jailed for doing their job? Democrats.
8. Who wants ICE abolished? Democrats.
9. Who does not want voter rolls purged of non-eligible voters as required by law? Democrats.
10. Who wants extreme restrictions on gun and ammunition purchases but lax ID requirements for voting? Democrats.
11. Who wants every man, woman, and child paying for universal healthcare for the terminally ill, illegal immigrants, and everyone else? Democrats.
12. Who wants to raise taxes higher and higher each year until there is no longer any way possible to go even higher to pay for foolish government spending? Democrats.

There is an alternative to Trump. Christians could vote for baby killers, sodomites, God-rejecters, Christian despisers, atheists, humanists, and other God-rejecting narcissist hedonists.

We had two options in 2016: A proud businessman who promoted Christian values for political purposes, and a proud woman who openly despised conservative Christians and conservative Christian values.
