    Read the op/ed.

I recall that the potential for Trump to end up "in jail" is considered early. The op/ed deals with the alternative.

Honestly, I think it will depend upon who succeeds him in 2020. If it's Biden, he'll squash any prosecutions of Trump (but perhaps not Trump's off-spring), for the same reasons that Ford pardoned Nixon. Biden is an institutionalist at heart. And many of us fear that he doesn't understand that modern GOP'ers long-ago decided "Damn the institutions!". They don't give a rip about anything but their damn "culture wars" and laissez faire capitalism. They think they are in a death match with the Democrats, while SOME Democrats (like Biden) still believe this is just a "debate of ideas". If Biden does that, his presidency will be doomed to mediocrity (if not failure), imo.

I am not talking about the people who believe that he will win by a landslide. I am more concerned with the possibility that of our elections being meddled with and the tampering of results

I must have missed it. Where in the op-ed does it mention jail?

Which is why a close result could well be a new national nightmare that makes an Alice Cooper Halloween concert look tame by comparison. It ill give Trump full opportunity to challenge the norms as nobody has ever done before.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Do some research, y'all...and we'll talk.
But, of course, I actually do.

To be clear....you are correct, Lutherf.

I was wrong. The article I linked in the OP doesn't actually mention "jail". I guess I assumed it from the first paragraph.

    Thanks for the correction.

You didn't read the op-ed you posted a link to and then suggested that I didn't read it?

    OK, fair enough.

OK. Don't bother me with blather. Show me how I'm wrong.

When I "dismiss" you it only means that I have determined that further discussion is useless or counter-productive. Don't take it personally. Go ahead and have your last word...and move on.

    Wow, what a moron.

Should have expected as much from you.

Of course, I read it and posted much of it in the OP. I also read another op/ed in the NYTimes that was similarly themed. It mentioned the very real potential for prosecution post-presidency. I conflated the two articles.

But feel free to avoid the topic. It's what you people do. You have little else to provide to the discussion.
