One of the stated reasons that some people supported Trump over the other Republicans is that Trump knows how to "beat the media" and is able to beat Democrats when they fight dirty. That leads me to the question: Could someone like the Bushes or Bob Dole win an election in today's environment?

What a fascinating assertion! Pray tell, when has twump beat the Democrats when 'they've played dirty'? How has he in any sense, 'beat the media'?

Please be very specific.
 
That's the perception Trump supporters have. In case you couldn't surmise it, I'm saying that the Bushes were better Presidents than Trump and I think Dole would have been better than Trump.

Ah, well, then, I apologize for not having read you right.

The Senior Bush was a better POTUS than his son and twump, but he was a deeply compromised man.

Yes, Dole would have been a FAR better POTUS than twump, but he could not conceivably overcome the effect of Murdoch and his media empire.

Listen to his concession speech. A gentleman and good loser all the way.

Since twump, hell, since George W and his merry band of sellout whores, principles are dead.
