Black GOP candidate told to “stop eating the ‘coon flakes'” in KY AG race

When applied to a black person, it's still a racist term. It doesn't magically stop being a racist term.

What makes the word racist, in what context and in what usage? How did the term originate as being viewed as racist

The truth is the political left is extremely racist, and they always have been. It's not an accident that the most "progressive" cities in the country are also the most racially segregated.

Further evidence of their racism? They claim only racists can hear the "right's dog whistles", but they seem to be the only ones able to hear them. Racist? Based on their own definition, absolutely.

She probably said "corn flakes" with a Lousianne accent.

You only had to wait 5 minutes huh?

You won't have noticed, being blindered by being from the same side of the aisle, but I just gave that knothead back exactly what he does all too often here.
I'll do it again, too, when I feel like it. Just a heads-up.

What made it racist? Who typically used it to make it racist
Using the word “coon” to describe any black person is racist regardless of who says it.

Some history;
Trump is The Fat White Duke.

The Thin White Duke was a controversial figure. While being interviewed in the persona in 1975 and 1976, Bowie made statements about Adolf Hitler and fascism that some interpreted as being positive or even pro-fascist.

I stumble into town just like a sacred cow
Visions of swastikas in my head
Plans for everyone

-- David Bowie and Iggy Pop, China Girl

The Thin White Duke was one of several personas used by the rock ion. There is no comparing the David Bowie with our national disgrace.

What Bowie said about The Thin White Duke; The Thin White DukeThe incarnation of this alter ego happened during David Bowie’s dark years, when he was struggling with drug addiction and stress, and is connected to the Station to Station album. This alter ego portrays a troubled man, who sings of romance but is completely numb to feelings. The Duke had platinum blond hair and was usually dressed in a white shirt, black trousers and a waistcoat. It is his most controversial persona and the Thin White Duke has been called a psychopathic aristocrat and an immortal zombie. At first, Bowie claimed his fascist, almost Nazi-like statements were merely part of his character. Later he blamed the hard drugs he used during this period. When talking about his albums during that time, Bowie says that they feel like “a piece of work by an entirely different person”.

Daniel Cameron is a black man who supported DJT. So by the left's definition of a DJT supporter, Cameron is a "white supremacist."

who owns lots of Kiwi stock.

IS THE PERSON SAYING COON BLACK AS WELL?

Why yes she is, a black person calling another black person that is not racist. As you say context is important.

Seems to be one of those well bred high class people of great character.
Are we really thinking that, because she is a woman of color, this is ok? Why are we coming up with excuses for this kind of talk?

I know, but but but is coming soon to a post near you.

The right to free speech includes having others exercising THEIR free speech telling you you're full of ****.

So next time someone tells a person of color to go pick cotton, you will applaud?

"Coon" is a racist term, when applied to a black person.

It depends how one feels on a given day, and who says it, and how one wishes to interpret the matter. One must check with one's inner self, and ask self if one wishes to be offended.
I don't even care if she went racial on him, she meant to hurt him at the core.

Why would a black person calling a black person be racist?

Is the black person trying to diminish the other person because of their shared ethnicity? Would that not be counter productive. Insultive sure, but by calling the other black person a coon, they are also calling themselves that. As such calling a person of a shared ethnicity a normally racist term that applies to both is not racist

Racism
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
"a program to combat racism"
synonyms:
racial discrimination, racialism, racial prejudice/bigotry, xenophobia, chauvinism, bigotry, bias, intolerance; More
anti-Semitism;
historical apartheid
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
"theories of racism"

Note the definition of Racism includes the "of a different race" statement. A racist term can not be racist if it is said to someone of the same race. An insult yes but not a racist term

Did I say the use of the word was ok? Nope but for some thing to be racist

it has to generally follow this

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Same race, not racist

Oh dear, black people can be very racists. Are you telling us she didn't know exactly what she was implying? A guy who grovels at the feet of a white man? How coon of him.

Certainly they can. But not towards those of the same ethnicity.

Another example of Liberal "tolerance", or lack there of. They won't tolerate any black person that dares to leave the plantation.

Can't wait for the Leftists to defend this silly bitch.

Here is a clue. There are extremists of all sorts. If you want to judge a group by the actions of this individual I'm sure I can dig up some fine conservatives. There was one on Facebook who was screaming at a woman in a water park because she was wearing a hajib. Cursing, giving the finger all in front of a bunch of kids. A real charmer who was eventually thrown out of the park. Lets all judge conservatives by her standards. She was also pretty fat.

There you go. Some have manners, others don't. Another one that brings me back to what a wise man said a long time ago.

they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
You know who, and you know the rest
