Woke up this morning to this:

I realize that this doesn't establish a pattern where CNN becomes politically neutral - but still, given CNN's history this type of reporting is to be cherished.
 
So, like the other righties here, all you care about is hoping for debate points that he's 'on the left'. Except the evidence suggests politics had nothing to do with his violence; as the article you link and compliment says:

"But the writings did not indicate any racial or political motive, sources said."

Maybe the vast majority of shootings have nothing to do with politics. Lefty.
 
Seems to me he was an incel woman hating psycho that was probably bullied. Unlike the El Paso shooter, he was not incited by a politician using racist rhetoric and laughing at commentary about shooting immigrants.

Seems he is more the archetypical school shooter type.

When it's discovered the manufactured propaganda doesn't fit the Ohio shooter, you've got to do something about it.

I took the source of the OP's "shock" to be that CNN would report that the shooter was extreme left. Not merely report it but put it in the headline.

None of those issues which you mentioned incite hatred or violence. Dehumanizing people, using rhetoric about rapists and treating migrants seeking asylum as an invasion is a whole different story.

They don't? Think again. Eco terrorism is a thing. Further, the El Paso shooter spent a good deal of his manifesto ranting about the environment and the evils of corporations.

You're not making any sense. If some shooter went on a rampage because of his concerns about the environment it wouldn't make any sense to blame environmentalists.

Trump is blamed because he talks about immigrants as an invasion of rapists and murderers. He promotes hatred of a group of people. And that group of people were attacked.

Hitler promoted hatred of Jews and on Kristallnacht Jewish business and Jews were attacked.

It's possible to promote any border policy you want without demonizing people and without using fear as a tool to motivate voters.

Yes, I think that was clearly his comment. But I think he'd also like the story to be that the shooter's politics made him a counter-example for the right-wing shooters, when that appears not to be the case.
