Do you notice that there is "nothing" in these 5 rules of Confucius that has anything to do with economics?

If you take the time and learn, you will be doing more than the man (Trump) that should have learned this before embarking on a trade war that he cannot win without understanding what makes the Chinese do anything. I can tell you right now, it ain't economics.

Have you noticed that Trump does not fulfill any of the qualities that Chinese look for?

Until he realizes that, there will be no deal with China.

The #1 complaint against China is theft and coercion of intellectual property. The fact is, the American consumer benefits therefrom. Such theft eliminates the IP patents that keep a companies control over a property from going into the competitive field and thus lowering the price to consumers. With China, it starts out low. This point was one of the major requirements to make TPP work. The US had to have IP protection for a more lengthy period of time than originally in the plan. If not for China IP theft, American consumers would be paying more for practically everything "tech" from China. Same thing with Pharma. Europe has different patent laws that allow generics of developed drugs earlier than in the US, and earlier development of new drugs, besides. Hence, the American consumer pays "company store" prices. If the consumer thought like businesses do, we'd say "Go China". "We want prices in OUR favor." "F patents". Go generic". "Give the consumers a break, not big biz."
