Trump is lying once again, campaigning already, and, of course, blaming Democrats.

oh yeah for sure. He's running the biggest con in the history of American politics.

He stands on the shoulders of giants though. Rush (radio), Hannity (TV), Trump (Presidency). What an evolution.

Regardless of the CA numbers, the left doesn't do anything about homelessness and, in fact, facilitates it. Illegal aliens get much more attention and compassion from them. The homeless are not likely to vote so it's understandable.

Agreed.
The right doesn't do anything about them either.

Pathological liar continues to lie. SAD!

He even uses Rush's term, "lamestream media" to describe news outlets he doesn't like. How original!

There really is no quandary.

There are few illegal immigrants in homeless camps.
and
The homeless are not necessarily mentally ill. They are drug addicted, yes, but that doesn't mean they have a mental illness.
\
And Trump is still lying when he says that California has nearly half of the US's homeless. That simply is false. So, let's get back to the subject of the thread.

So he said nearly 1/2 rather than nearly 1/3. You really call that lying? There is plenty to point to that falls under that category. Seems petty to choose this as an example.

Except they aren't piling up in the streets in cities run by conservatives but those run by liberals; SF, LA, Seattle and Portland being prime examples.

It's closer to a quarter, and yes, I call it lying. He does it so much that people don't even notice it any more.

What cities are run by conservatives?

I was addressing the thread, and my point remains. Your citation depends on data collected in January 2018 and is based on HUD data.

This is AUGUST 2019 1.75 years later. Perhaps Trump misstated some source, or perhaps there is new HUD data that supports his current statement.

Yet, as usual, you declare he is "lying" (and presume it is intentional) just because an old report does not support his current comments.

As far as I am concerned, this constant effort to claim he is a liar is just another "moral panic" effort; which is not supported by the facts. As I and others have pointed this out several times in this Forum in the past. :coffeepap:

Destroy all legitimate sources of information, it's the first order of business. Trump did help bring that to new heights, he was very effective history will show, in help do just that.
So how does one appeal to someone who is now blind and deaf, and screaming hate? Apparently, they want to "do nothing".

Hey, good point. Liberals run most major cities and that's where the homeless are piling up.

Liberal cities are where the money is!

They have:
Mass Transit
Programs and Shelters (More soup kitchens; More places to sleep; More churches to help with food, clothing)
Nearby Amenities ( More fast food restaurants to wash up; More malls; libraries to get out of the weather)

Oh, I agree. I've always said GOP politicians and right wing media and pundits created the environment for someone like Trump to thrive in. They spent years telling their voters that Democrats are the bane of mankind, that Obama was a socialist/communist foreign born Muslim with a fake birth certificate. They claimed he hated white people, wanted to take away their guns, was a terrorist sympathizer, etc. They called the Clinton's murderers, etc. This type of radical nonsense was bound to draw an opportunistic demagogue to come out and manipulate an already manipulated group of people.

Heck, even in 2011/2012, when Trump first became a birther, the GOP laughed it off, and in Romney's case, took an endorsement from Trump praising him as a "great business man". Fast forward 4 years later, when Trump started to hi-jack the GOP, and he became a serious threat, suddenly Romney and other GOP politicians were out there BEGGING Republican voters to NOT vote for Trump in the primaries. But it was too late, the seeds were already planted, and now the GOP is stuck with this idiot, at least for the time being. The GOP has nobody but themselves to blame for Trump's rise, and most of them now have become full fledged Trump toadies because they are currently terrified of the GOP base.

If you think Trump is right, then show where the homeless population of California has grown by an additional hundred thousand or so over the past year.

If you think he isn't lying, you just might possibly be right. He often doesn't know what he's talking about, so he might just be misinformed.

.....we should be getting used to it by now, but Trump lies once again, saying:

and, of course, goes on to blame Democrats for the homeless problem, yet another non surprise.

The facts:While there are plenty of homeless in California, that state has the highest population as well.

There are about 129,000 homeless in California out of a population just shy of 40 million. The total homeless population of the USA is over half a million.

Mr. Trump, once again, you flunk math if you think that 129K is nearly half of half a million

And now, Mr. Trump, president of the USA who is so busy campaigning and blasting Democrats, what do you plan to do about that half million homeless in the USA?

.

I'm definitely used to it as I'm sure most of us are. He blames democrats, the media and anyone else who calls out his BS for what it is. Facts or truth never has gotten in the way of his ongoing verbal diarrhea. He can't read, comprehend a conversation or do basic math, another non-surprise.

He's been campaigning non-stop since his first campaign, first president I've ever seen who has spent the entirety of his time in office campaigning for himself, 24/7/365. The reason? It's all about him...screw America and its citizens....no room to that nonsense in the mind of an immature, bully, racist narcissist.

Someone needs to remind him of this quote:

I don't think you understand how this works.

I don't have to prove Trump is telling the truth. I never asserted that he was, because I don't have sufficient facts one way or the other.

YOU, on the other hand, have asserting he is lying. I pointed out that your evidence is more than a year and a half old. That it is based on a HUD report. HUD is a Federal Agency, and it reports to the President. So it is entirely possible he may have more current information forming the basis of his statement. I don't know, and apparently neither do YOU.

Yet you feel perfectly entitled to declare he is lying. Well you have to prove a positive, I don't have to prove a negative. The burden is on you.

Again, you may be right in that evidence may come to light showing that he is mistaken. Even so, that is still not proof he is intentionally "lying."

Therein lies the rub, this constant declaration that he is a liar from so many opponents looking at his statements in the worst light possible.

I already showed that he was lying, as usual.

You're the one claiming that my data is not accurate.

It's up to you, then, to show that my data is not accurate.

No, exactly where they are piling up, at the feet of "compassionate" liberals.

No doubt, the homeless gravitate to Democrats and liberals.

or, perhaps to urban areas where they can find food.

There are more rats and mice in the cities than in rural areas as well. Perhaps they like Democrats too.

Defending Trump against dishonest haters like yourself isnt 'fluffing.'

No, defending the most unprepared, unqualified and undignified person to become pResident is willful blindness like the world has never seen before.

That's a nice end run around the fact that the Dems running these places are doing virtually nothing to fix the homeless crises there. Hosing down feces and putting out needle repositories does nothing other than to say that they accept the problem and are content to live with it, their taxpaying citizens be damned. This is 21st century America, not 19th century London. So much for the left's "compassion".

Back during the depression, when Hoover was president, homeless camps were referred to as "Hoovervilles." I think we should dub them "Trumpvilles" today, what do you think?

.

Watch, no right winger will defend this. It will be dumb deflection and lies. THere is no defending this. Right wingers don't care about the homeless, theyu are against any government money going to anybody but them. AGainst livable wages, against welfare, against food stamps, against affordable education, against job retraining, against better healthcare, they do nothing but show disdain for the poor. So they can go shove it
