Isn't the knee-jerk to assume that this sort of thing is false flag and demand more evidence? I mean, I'm pretty sure I've seen that tactic before...and often.

Though I do hope the police can find clues to the identities of the thugs who committed this assault and that they get thrown into prison for awhile. This sort of politically motivated violence has no place in the Republic and will not take us to a higher standing.

We have seen from posters here that this violence is OK as long as the victim doesn't die.

A hundred people can get beat up but, according to the referenced poster, it is not as bad as the one person that was killed in Charlottesville.

Several shooters have been found to have been inspired by far right propaganda. I don't want to go down a rabbit hole, but pretending like Charlottesville is the only example of right wing murder is a blatant lie.

Don't know what posters you're talking about, but I'd take 100 people beat up over one killed.

Neither is good - why are you trying to make comparing them the issue?

The attacks on the 100 are being excused and the one is demonized.

Just because the attackers have been lucky no one has died from their attacks doesn't make those attacks any less horrific than the death. The attacks were life changing for every one of those people.

There was not a need to murder the guards. They could be punished for following the orders they did and return to society. They were human beings, just as the misguided trumpistas who are following his order and supporting harm don't deserve to be violently attacked, and are human beings. Sympathizing with the death camp prisoners or the resisters to trump's wrongs doesn't justify their violence.

I looked at that man's face and I cringed. Never did I think Jussie Smollett would hire someone to put a rope around his neck because I know there are haters who would do this to him. I sure was fooled but I digress...

If people don't have the freedom to wear a MAGA while minding their own business walking down the street, the republic most certainly is in trouble. Agree, no place for political violence in this country. Kids need to be taught to respect the freedom of others so they don't grow up to be fist yielding thugs.

I guess you had to be there to understand. If a guard has orders to kill every prisoner and I had a chance to kill him first, you had better believe that is what would have happened.

I guess the Nazi irony is lost on them. They need a history lesson. Hitler's goons beat on the Jews well just because they weren't blonde and blue eyed. How is beating on a guy who wears something they won't tolerate any different?

True, some morons on the left have been paying too much attention to Trump's approach to politics. Though I am sure there were good people on both sides of this scuffle, put me down as favoring the vigorous prosecution of those who may be criminally responsible for the attack. You can be certain I won't be paying their legal bills.
