Conspiracy theories, rudeness to Mueller

A hearing that could have helped stop the Russian attacks instead turned into an attack on Mueller, team and evidence.
We also witnessed Republican lawmakers spinning their unproven conspiracies and then cutting off Mueller responses.
My favorite:
A team that was overseen by Republican Mueller, Republican hack Whittaker, Republican Rosespineless, and of course Trump lawyer Barr. The Republican lawmakers would have us believe the Mueller team's political affiliation makes a difference.
While ignoring 10 instances of Obstruction.
Ignoring Russian attacks and further ignoring Trump people lying about Russia.
Ignoring facts, false conspiracies, attacking Mueller, Whittaker, Rosenstein, and Barr and their investigation because you don't like the negative facts against Trump is un-American.

Oh yah, Hillary colluded with the Russians to loose the election and her career

No. Barr is the "People"s lawyer".

btw, if Mueller can't deal with attacks, he's the wrong guy for the special prosecutor job. (and as we saw from his performances yesterday, he clearly is)

Mueller had to know that it was not going to be an easy day. He was VERY unprepared. After watching I have serious doubts that he even knew what the hell was going on in his own investigation, let alone in his "report".
 
This was always going to be political theater. The Democrats are getting beat up in the messaging department. They should've opened an impeachment inquiry months ago. They have allowed the fact that a foreign government actively interfered in our elections, and an entire administration refusing to act to defend the country, to get buried under wild speculation and conspiracy theories. It's amazing how incompetent they look in the face of the dumbest president we have ever had.

Someone likes to recite Mike Wallace.... ;)

What Mueller wasn't prepared to do is give either party a sound byte for the next election cycle. He was very clear on the findings, made very sure the he didn't go past the report, made very sure to only agree with the parts of a 'question' asked that was in his report. Repeatedly he had to ask what the question was in the statements the panel kept making.

He was very clear that tRump's pronouncements were incorrect, there was no way the report could exonerate anyone.

That he didn't deliver what either side wanted on a silver platter doesn't mean he was 'very unprepared', it meant he was a very savvy career government lawyer, and not about to be used as a political tool... :peace

I don't think he wanted to be prepared. He made it clear a few months ago that he did not want to testify, he did not want to be subpoenaed, and he wasn't going to say anything beyond the report. So, no need to prepare.

Sounds good if you ignore the fact that Trumped lied on his written questions, his people lied, and keyRussian witnesses were not available for questions. Also ignore the convicted Trump people all obstructing the search for truth. What's your narrative the Oranges of investigation was caused by aliens from another world

I would have liked your post but for the fact that you purposely spelled Trump's name in a derogatory manner. This shows your bias. Other than that, your post was spot on. Whether you like the president or not you should show respect for him, otherwise you are no better than him.

Your entitled to your opinion. I found Mueller very confused and unprepared (he had to make a correction of an earlier statement). Are we to believe he was unaware of Fusion GPS? There were just far too many stutters and unclear answers to questions asked. You would be correct that the report could not exonerate Trump (its not the job of a prosecutor to exonerate).

There is no doubt he did not want to be there, and one would not blame him for that. I felt he came across as very confused by the questions. He lost me when he was unaware of Fusion GPS.

Are you serious? Maybe the hearings didn't nail Trump but they proved that Barr was deceptive and acted only to protect the president. He's not the people's lawyer. He's Trump's new fixer.

He was nominated by the President, who was elected by the People.

He was confirmed by the Senate, who's members were elected by the People.

Therefore, the People...through their elected representatives...selected and confirmed Barr as Attorney General.

He's the "People's lawyer".
 
This testimony (from Democrats POV) had nothing to do with stopping Russian interference in the election and everything to do with getting Trump.

This...the Fusion GPS thing...is what hurt him the most. It is inconceivable that anyone who was conducting an investigation would NOT know who they are and the part they played. This showed that Mueller actually played NO PART in the investigation. But he was supposed to be the guy who led the investigation. And then his "That wasn't my purview" response sealed it for him. It indicated that the entire investigation ignored everything except "Trump/Russia".
