Of late, there seem to be a variety of Triggers that affect people on both sides of the political spectrum.

Triggers that incite the Democrat-Socialist Progressives seem to be wide and varied:

Trump, the National Anthem, the American Flag, election results, any accurate historical fact, enforcing any law as written, Police from any level of government, any male non-minority historical figures, any American Foundational Documents, the racists they cite in our society including Trump, Betsy Ross, Thomas Jefferson, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Mitt Romney and John McCain and, of course, the ongoing injustices committed by bakeries.

Triggers that incite Republicans seem to be pretty narrow:

The ongoing Clown Show conducted by the Democrat-Socialist Progressives.

How can we ever bridge these divides?

;)

Hell of an olive branch there, Code!

Criticism of Trump's policies triggers Trump and his loyal fan base. Right to the point of Trump loyalists lying about John McCain and Mitt Romney. Yeeha. Isn't partisanship grand?

Freedom, liberty, understanding, honesty, compromise, to name some bridge building blocks. America is a wonderful place where opportunities are abundant and there is freedom to succeed.

Did I lie about the Democrat Socialists calling McCain and Romney racists?

Did you think I was calling either of these gentlemen anything?

I was only recalling the slanders, libels, lies and smears cast at them by the Democrat Socialists during their Presidential runs.

You talk about honesty, compromise and understanding? Try explaining what they mean to the ****ing moron you elected; because he evidently is clueless.

You tell me what you lied about.

I don't follow the "Democrat Socialists" like you liberals do. But I'm sure you have links to hundreds of these "Democratic Socialists" calling McCain (the POW you hate) and Romney racists during their 2008 and 2012 runs.

Who are the "Democratic Socialists"?

And which one called McCain and Romney a racist? Nobody in either of your links.

So are leftists. They have along rough road ahead of them.

Republican triggers:

Socialism, gun control, minimum wage, healthcare, sexual orientation, Muslims, race, climate change, immigration, the constitution, religion, coal, oil, Christmas, Obama, Hillary, basic politeness, AOC...

There's more but just listing those made me a bit depressed.

Triggers that incite Republicans seem to be pretty narrow...
Try again.

• The fake "war on Christmas"
• Brown people elected to office
• Brown people pointing out racism
• Gay people wanting to be treated like people... or just existing
• Anyone named "Obama" or "Clinton"
• Accusations of sexual harassment or rape
• Anyone who criticizes conservatives, or Republican elected officials

I can't go on... I'll go on

• Anyone who dares to defend the separation of Church and State
• Safety nets
• Undocumented immigrants
• Free trade
• Muslims doing pretty much anything
• Every intersection of sports and politics that isn't right-wing
• "Coastal elites"
• Calling out anyone on the right for hypocrisy

I could go on, but you get the point. "Triggering" is not exclusive to one party or another. If you think otherwise, you're fooling yourself.

Yeah, I can only think of two off the top of my head: Reality and Facts.

Nope, code1211 is correct. There are only a couple of things that trigger Republicans: 1) Facts. 2) Reality.

Who are the "Democratic Socialists"?

And which one called McCain and Romney a racist? Nobody in either of your links.

If you click on the link and read it the names of the racists using the invective on Romney and McCain are included.

It doesn't really matter. The word has been meaningless since about the turn of the century when and opponent of a Democrat-Socialist needed top be attacked.

The Democrat-Socialists are the party that calls Republicans "racists".

Maybe I don't understand what a "Trigger" is.

The things you list make me say to myself that I oppose some, some I support or enjoy, some are just indicators of stupidity and some are unimportant. Nothing causes rage.

I thought a "trigger" was something that struck the Triggered in a way that caused irrational, uncontrollable emotional response(s). Is that not the meaning?

Something you did not list that does trigger me is when idiots assert that they are very smart and that they must dictate my actions by virtue of their presumed superiority. I would assume this "Triggers" everyone.

Being older and less dependent on the thoughts and actions of others has removed the incentive to suffer fools gladly.

Trump responds to those things with irrational emotions unless he is faking it for his base.

In response to the question posed in last sentence, we can begin by polling the supporters of President Donald Trump to find out just how they view any number of issues. Happily, it's a relatively simple process. We can achieve a certainty of 1 sigma by polling any one of them.

As I said, "The ongoing Clown Show..."

It's interesting that your supposed Triggers of Conservatives include the imagined divisions continuously imposed on our thinking by the folks running the Clown Show.

Regarding Clinton and Obama, I think Bill was a sexual predator who did a pretty good job as President. His administration was one of restraint in all areas but that one. Think Eisenhower.

Obama was one of the two worst Presidents to have ever served along with Bush.

Hypocrisy is not a Conservative Franchise. Have you not noticed this to be one unifying identifier of all politicians?

Accusations are accusations. Unfounded accusations that carry the weight of endorsed truth when promoted by the Main Stream Media. What ever happened to the darling of CNN Avanatti?

Athletes who feel they gain superior Universal understanding by doing pushups are interesting. Why do they think this? Why do their fans think this? It's an interesting shared delusion.

Yeah, I can only think of two off the top of my head: Reality and Facts.

Reality for anyone is as it is perceived. It is seemingly like beauty or humor.

Facts are facts. They are provable and can be demonstrated. Fact: The Climate is changing. Opinion: People can control and direct the climate of the planet.

In today's politics, however, things that are referred to as facts are increasingly less about real world realities and more about political agenda.

I find it very interesting that when a Woman with the appropriate liberal resume tells a story that is unsupportable, she is said to be speaking "Her Truth". Conservative women are not afforded this "courtesy".

What is the difference, exactly, between that woman telling the unsupportable story being described as telling "Her Truth" while Trump is described as "Lying"?

President of the United States of America Donald Trump has a number of triggers. What is interesting is that in his case, we not only know the triggers but can also predict the response, word for word, to a high degree of probability. An example is 'collusion'.

The difference is in your head.
