It is way way early to read much into polls, except very broadly. Until primary season is over, it is really hard to get a read on how the candidates of the two parties stack up.

I haven't seen any quality head to heads lately for the general. The only poll out was that SurveyMonkey one, and it's had mixed results in the past. Still, even it had Biden leading Trump 9+ and Sanders and Warren leading by 7+ and 5+, so I'm not sure what you're looking at right now.
We'll have to wait to for another week or so to see the full results of Trump's racist Tweets. It takes time for scandals to show up in public surverys.

Did you put up that avatar and signature ironically? You seem to consistently be an avid Trump supporter in every thread you walk into. I can only assume it's because you're trying to make Bernie and Tulsi supporters look terrible.

Way too early to know for sure. Biden’s performance at the debate was not very good I agree, but the real issue impacting the polls so far is Democrats are still in a mode of outdoing each other to be the most liberal. Once they are done beating each other up enough someone will get the nod and then we can worry about how that candidate stacks up to Trump.
For now I still contend that Democrats did not learn very much from 2016, and Independents are in the balance.

Do you have a source? I don't see any widening. The early polls on RCP were from PPD and they seem more an outlier at +14. The average is +9. Rasmussen is the most favorable to Trump but still has him behind Biden by 5.

You know I kinda wish that Joe Biden was the guy because what’s more scary is that everyone is saying that trump is a creep but little dirty Joe is just Joe? What if Donald Trump used “it’s who I am”? Now they would have criticizing the president and, frankly the pictures of Joe Biden wasn’t doctored!

It's hard to say at this stage anything solid about it. Though I don't think Biden overall would be a good candidate to run against Trump. Even if all these early polls show him winning by a lot or slipping or whatever, in the end I think that Biden is a dull candidate with too much baggage. He could possibly win, but I also think it's quite easy for him to lose.
